Previously known as ’Dead Pony Club’.

Bottle and keg: Filtered

Ingredients: Spring Blend, Cara and Crystal Malts; Simcoe, Citra and HBC hops.

This Californian Pale Ale packs a huge hoppy punch. A 21st century low amplitude, high voltage hop hit. Some people say slow is good. We believe fast is better. Being shot from a Hoppy Howitzer beats the hell out of trotting round a submissive paddock. That’s why the internal combustion engine got mounted onto two wheels. Screw down the throttle and listen for that dull banshee howl floating back from those malted mufflers. Drink fast, live fast, sleep late and rip it up down empty streets. This pale ale is chopped, tuned and ready to roll. Fuel up and hold tight, this little thoroughbred kicks like a mule. Perfect for drinking by the bottle, case or even keg.

Bottle @ home with Thompson. Smells quite fruity and hoppy with a little hint of herbs. Looks somewhat dark and a bit cloudy. Taste is reasonably sweet with some aftertaste of said herbs. Overall, a solid beer that doesn’t jump out one way or another.

Clear deep gold color with slight off white thick foam. Aromas of exotic fruit, passion fruit, pineapple and hops. Palate, light/medium body, sticky, flat texture with somewhat hoppy aftertaste. Taste, sweet and hoppy with hints of herbs. Simple but sweet. Overall, Nice casual session pale ale, simple and easy.

Wow. What a tropical explosion on the nose! Mangos, papaya, bananas. Makes you remember why we love the diversity of beer from those 4 basic ingredients! Taste is similarly tropical, a little overripe...but not moudly, and a perfect complement of bitterness and sweetness. Expertly crafted beer. At 3.2% this beer of course doesn’t give you the rich mouthfeel of stronger ales but it’s a classic. Perfect for summer nights.

Aroma-Floral hop bite, delicate put very prominent. A little resin, and some warm bread on the finish Appearance-Lovely deep amber with a beautiful white head that leaves some good lacing on the side of the glass Taste-A little bitter, but enough to be sessionable. Leaves a sweet note on the tongue. Slightly sour Palate-Very balanced. A light fizz on the roof of the mouth. The body is fairly light, and a long bitter finish Overall-Everything you would want from a session ale, now let me grap another!

Sample from a 33cl bottle (26 IX 2015), shared with De Meetjeslandse Bierproevers. Since the first time I had this session IPA, I had it a couple of times more. This is my favorite low alcohol brew, by far. Poured in a little snifter, it colours beautifully copper to amber, with a fairly large white head. The nose is full of herbs, flowers, hops, citrus and pomelo fruits. A true flavour explosion. The taste and palate are pretty complex for a 3.8 ABV brew. Okay, the body is light and the ending is rather dry, but the keen bitter-malt-sugar balance is great. Very tasteful with a fruity hop feature. The carbonation is mild. Great nose, great mouthfeel. I could just drink this in gallons!

Helder donkergeel bier met schuim. Smaak is licht bitter en ietwat zoet met sporen van thee, grapefruit en citrus. Komt wat waterig over helaas.
