COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Previously known as ’Dead Pony Club’.

Bottle and keg: Filtered

Ingredients: Spring Blend, Cara and Crystal Malts; Simcoe, Citra and HBC hops.

This Californian Pale Ale packs a huge hoppy punch. A 21st century low amplitude, high voltage hop hit. Some people say slow is good. We believe fast is better. Being shot from a Hoppy Howitzer beats the hell out of trotting round a submissive paddock. That’s why the internal combustion engine got mounted onto two wheels. Screw down the throttle and listen for that dull banshee howl floating back from those malted mufflers. Drink fast, live fast, sleep late and rip it up down empty streets. This pale ale is chopped, tuned and ready to roll. Fuel up and hold tight, this little thoroughbred kicks like a mule. Perfect for drinking by the bottle, case or even keg.

25cl bottle from kvickly spinderiet, shared with Gitte. Clear dark yellow, huge offwhite slightly flufft head. strong hoppy aroma, citrussy, flowery, not sweet, lots of flowery and citrussy hops. Flavor is bitter hoppy, quite bitter, some malts, but not lots of them. Taste is a bit flattish or one dimensional probably due to the low abv, but the beer is pretty refreshing and tasty. would do great as a session beer.

Pours a murky amber with a tiny head. Aroma is of caramel, toffee, mango and other tropical fruits. Tastes of grass, caramel, pine, mango, and lemon. The mouth feel is where it goes wrong. It felt very flat with low carbonation and feels like water, although it has a nice bitterness.

Bottle from Auchan. Have to rate it sometime I guess. Pale yellow pour, small head. Grassy citrus hop aroma with that ’this is a Brewdog beer’ aroma of slight pissiness. Body is very light, but is present enough to keep it drinkable. Lots of hop flavour throughout, from lemon and grapefruit to gooseberry then back to more grapefruit in the finish. It’s a good, drinkable APA.

Clear amber, strong white head. Delightful fruity hop aroma. Full-bodied and yet refreshing, bitterness balanced with a fruity sweetness. Lovely full-bitter finish. Delightful!

Can. Nice and hoppy, but with a malty base. Varied fruit: plum, grape, some citrus, along with sweet touches of caramel/toffee. Quite smooth and drinkable too. Quite a bit going on with this one - nice.

Hop is the only thing you’ll get. It’s true that this beer seems stronger than it’s 3.8% and it’s medium bodied. But some taste beyond or besides the hop blast would have been nice. BrewDog surely knows about brewing excellent beers - but this one is maybe the exception that makes the proof.
