Pour black like an oil slick! Tingles sweet to start with then turns into a bitter, burnt after taste. Cannot really taste the chilli but maybe that's the tingling feeling! Rated by BrewTom

UPDATED: AUG 2, 2013 Backlog: black with small brown head. Awesome and complex Aroma of spices, vanilla, malt, and some coffee. Full oily and wine like mouthfeel with small carbonation. Aftertaste is sweet with some vanilla and pepper notes. Overall: near perfect. Awsome balance. Alcohol well hidden. Miss some unique features to really separate it from the rest.

Shared with Northropfrye at BrewDog Edinburgh. Dark body, not much head. Lots of great bourbon aroma and flavour. A really good imperial stout. I loved it.

Keg @ BrewDog Glasgow. Almost black, not much head. Spicy tar malt aroma. Sickly sweet tarry vanilla malt flavour. Strong sweet alcohol flavour. Ok but not my sort of beer.

Keg @ BD Shoreditch. The pour’s deep brown with a small tan head. Nose is rich dark chocolate syrup. Quite sweet. Plenty of burnt brown sugar. Light spicy chili and charred wood. Some vanilla. The taste is pretty complex. Roasted s’mores. Loads f marshmallow an smoky dark chocolate. Growing chili and tangy red berry on the finish. Dark roasted coffee. Some earthy nutmeg. Drinks pretty damn smooth for 15.1%. Silky, oily mouthfeel. OK, nothing to hate on here, even if my third was unbelievably expensive for a brewery-owned pub. Overall, quite good.

Bottle @ Bruce’s birthday tasting. Cheers to Paulo for bringing this expensive beast! The pour’s deep brown with no head whatsoever. The nose is massive chili, green pepper. Plenty of chocolate and earthy roasted coffee. The taste is rich roasted coffee, earthy compost. Robust smoky chili pepper. Smooth chocolate on the finish. Very oily body, quite viscous and thick. This drinks very well for the ABV. No hint of boozy heat whatsoever. Overall, a really nice beer. Cool stuff.

Tanks to Brad again for more beer. Smells pretty good. Deep choco and 7-up, nose burn of hot cinnamon, green pepper, faint smoke, smell. Shitty review. Faint heat taste, plenty of warm brown milky choco, orange, thick, not all that complex but Yumz. Slick mouth feel, dullest heat, light sweetness, ending shot mellow bakers choco bitterness. Smells great!

Its black and has a good cap for 15%. Heated coffee, mellow chocolat, mild soya. Taste is so fucking smooth for 15%, big creamy soya, huge chocolate, mild coffee. Wow this thick, almost like jello, nope I mean pudding. The alcohol swetness is awsome. Burnt brown sugar, possible toasted marshmellow, CARBON!!! Fucking good brew!!

On tap in Edinburgh, named Dog B. (Exact same abv so I assumed it’s the same beer.) Served in a wine-like glass. Beatiful dark body. Great vibrant aroma of coffee and dark chocolate. Some smokiness, and a bit of booze, pretty impressived considering this sucker is 15%. Fabulous beer!

UPDATED: JUL 6, 2013 330ml bottle, pours black with a small tan head, low carbonation, aroma is heavy on the coffee giving a lovely mocha chocolate flavour, as it develops on the palate the vanilla and chilli come through, with hints of whisky dancing on the tongue. Palate is not a thick as it might be and it’s a very drinkable 15%
