Bottle. Opaque black liquid with small to medium tan head. Aroma of coffee, deep chilli, chocolate, grain, biscuit and some vanilla. Taste is light sweet and medium bitter with notes of deep chilli, coffee and chocolate. Full bodied with light to medium carbonation. Really nice, almost as good as Abstrakt 04.

From a 330ml bottle on 28/9/2012 (bottle marked 037, 01-04-12). Pours close to black with a tiny head which disappears almost immediately. The aroma is oaky, with dark fruit (prunes, raisins), caramel, toffee, chocolate and alcohol all present. Flavour wise, it begins with masses of coffee, brown sugar, dark chocolate, and raisins. This is followed by some vanilla, licorice, soy sauce and masses of roasted malt, with some burnt and salty notes. The great dollops of sweetness up front are subdued by a big bitterness at the back, with both the chlli and the alcohol evident in the finish. The texture is thick and the carbonation a touch higher than average for an imperial. This is a huge, complex, insane beer, which will probably prove to be a bit much for the average punter, but letís face it, 15.1% beers are not made for the average punter. A very impressive brew made for those who like beers which really push the envelope.

Pours black in color with a tan head. Nose opens up with lots of roasted malt and dark chocolate. A mild chili pepper note as well as some green pepper notes. A fair amount of coffee with a hint of vanilla sweetness. The flavor is decently sweet from the vanilla and chocolate notes with just a bit of molasses and toffee. Heavy on the coffee and roasted malt along with some mild chili pepper. Just a light bitterness. Sort of Hunaphu-esque. Probably the best Brewdog beer Iíve had.

Bottle from systembolaget. Pours jet black. Slight tan head, better retention than similar brews drom Brewdog (tokyo, ab:9). Aroma is full, sweet, lots of alcohol. Body is full, really big. Texture is oily and sticky, the first taste is a real whopper. Reminded me of Tokyo* at first, but the finish is completely diffferent, the coffee is subtle, just a slight bitter sharpness,. I didnít really catch th chili as chili, but Iím pretty sure itís what gives Dog A its very liquorice-ish hints at the very end. A bit on the expensive side, but worth it. Got anotjer bottle for cellaring the next day.

330 ml bottle at Christianssand Brygghus. Pitch black body with a small but dense brown head. Strong aroma of dark malt, coffee and cocoa. Flavor is sweet and first dominated by dark malt and molasses, then followed up with coffee, liquorices and then chili pepper. Fine body and a strong warming aftertaste with a light burning hint of chili. A nice big beer with a twist.
