Bottle generously provided by Douglas. A: Oily black brew with a cappuccino head that dies down. Legs. N: Molasses, soy sauce, cocoa, vanilla, coffee, black peppercorn, peppers. T: Spicy capsaicin, dark sweetness, and an underlying bitterness. This is extremely well balanced. M: Treacly heavy body, just enough carbonation, and a surprisingly lack of alcohol burn. Impressive covering of the booze. O: This is very, very good, especially for an amped up pepper beer. I would definitely purchase this is if I saw it again.

Bottle shared by "Douglas88". Colour...very dark brown with no head. Nose...delightfully spicy and peppery with day old coffee, dark chocolate and booze. Palate...fairly thick and somewhat cloying with gobs of coffee and joyous bitterness. The palate is dry and oak-like with coffee creme and Coffee Nips.

Bottle. Pours a a jet black color with a small brown head. A big sweet roast, heat and woody nose. Huge licorice, sweet vanilla, coffee, milky, burning chilies. Lovely, rich decadent hot beast. Super dark chocolates, vanilla. Awesome.

Tap@olutexpo14(as Dog C). Black, small tan head. Roasty coffee beans, cocoa nibs and salty licorice on nose. Full bodied, really intensively flavoured body. Roasty body, salty licorice, nice chili heat. Lots of sweets, really big. But drinkable nice. Probably the best brewdog sofar. Like the slight chili heat, the intensive licorice.

0,15 hana@ Olut Expo (Dog C). Öljyinen, lähes musta sakean tummanruskea. Tuoksussa ruista, kuivahkoa paahteisuutta, leipää, salmiakkia. Maussa puskee alkoholia ja kuivaa ruismallasta.

33cl bottle served in a snifter. Pours a black oily colour with an extremely short lived dark beige head. Zero carbonation and a medium to full mouthfeel. Taste is strong but one dimensional with molasses, coffee and dark chocolate. Unfortunately, the naga chilies do not make their presence known however, there is a good heat from the beer but that seems to be from the ABV which is not well concealed at all. A very disappointing beer and enough to make me say that I will buy no more Brewdog beers as both this and Black Tokyo Horizon are overpriced and sub-standard in this area and price-rnage.
