COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The truth. You don’t want to hear the truth. The truth’s no longer out there bubba. Just chicken ass lies. Become a Dogma Disciple. Believe in the birds and the bees. Act crazy, be heavily armed at all times and scream in German.

Dogma is an indulgent, decadent and encapsulating scotch ale brewed with 10 different types of malt all blended together with Scottish heather honey. Soak up the sweet nectar like a jackrabbit on heat.

This beer is not cool. You may think it is, but that is just a beautiful lie fabricated by clowns and gypsies.

BB 12/09/15. Poured a deep mahogany colour with 5mm of light tan froth that retained well and laced well. Carbonation medium and fine. Aroma of roasted malt, dark fruits, a trace of caramel plus hints of alcohol. Taste very sweet caramel malt with roasted grain and molasses, with a very slight bitterness, plus hints of alcohol. Light body. Smooth and soft with very subtle bitterness on the finish. Good.

Bottle from Stockmann in Tallinn (€ 3,60). Batch 225. BB 25-03-2015. Pours a very dark clear brown; head is light creamy and brief. Nose is very heavy with honey and caramel, somewhat ashy and woody, and a bit of alcohol coming through, gets maltier later, I also get a weird lactic side note. Taste very caramelly sweet with notes of roastiness, finishing with moderate bitterness. Body medium, texture soft, dry and ashy on the palate, carbonation less than average. Alcohol barely noticeable. A bit of a confusing and unbalanced brew, can’t really put my finger on why I’m not enjoying this as much as I expected to.

1 pint bottle @ home from Csak a Jó Sör, Budapest. Body is nearly black, Head is big, rocky, brownish, mostly lasting, good lacing. Nose is roasred malt, caramel, Aroma is tons of chocolate, mild coffee, honey, dried fruits, light licorice, light smoke, toast, alcohol appears a bit later. Taste is medium sweet, medium to heavy roasty bitter. Finish is long lasting moderated roasty bitter and dark chocolate. Full body, oily texture whicih is a bit sticky later, soft carbonation. Excellent dessert beer, quite heavy.

Big bottle poured into mug. Dark brown, minimal white head. Aroma of malt, toast, molasses, starburst, wheat, fruit, chocolate. I think there is some scotch in it. Rather unusual, would have been unpleasant if it wasn’t so interesting. Flavor is alcohol, yeast, malt, sugar, cocoa, bread. A touch of licorice and honey. Very tasty.
