3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
On tap at Beer Bier, Budapest. Clear, deep brown color with medium, creamy, yellowish brown head. Grain and alcohol aroma, liqoury, sweet, a bit smoky, nutty. Medium sweet taste, but at the same time it’s a bit dry. Medium body, creamy texture, average carbonation. Grainy finish. It’s a good example for Scotch ale. It’s a bit like Belhave Wee Heavy, but has more alcohol and stronger grain flavours.

3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle. Jet black with ruby highlights and a thin tan head. Nose is a floral honey, mild alcohol. Quite thick and syrupy in the mouth, with an overriding honey-alcohol taste. Definitely a sipper - a bit rich and sticky. Some slight whisky notes and roast notes. Finish is actually a lot shorter than expected, but warming honey sweetness. Not my favourite from Brewdog, but interesting.

Bottled 330ml (Drink Baar, Tallinn)
Dark ruby color, small beige head. Aroma of licorice and candy. Medium-bodied. Salty licorice, sticky dark maltyness. Light bitterness in the salty and sweet aftertaste. A bit toasted too, Excellent, much better than the original Dogma.

Cerveza con miel de brezo de 7,4°
Color caoba profundo,de gran aroma y sabor. Se aprecia el toque dulce pero contrasta muy bien con el sabor de la malta. Muy buena cerveza.

4.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20
Mild, but very pleasant aroma. Mostly you can feel coffee and roast. Dark, almost black in color with a hint of amber-brown. Some nice foam in the beginning but they dissolve very quickly. The taste is rather sweet, with a little bitterness in the finish as well as with some feel of alcohol. Low level of carbonation. Overall, this beer was excellent and I enjoyed it very much. One of the best I’ve ever tasted and in my TOP3 of Brewdog’s ales.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Almost jet black with an Amber/orange head. Honey is phsyically visible in the head when it’s first poured. Honey and rich malt in the aroma with a beautifully sticky mouthfeel on the palate. Hop flavour kicks in with the aftertaste and is deep and rewarding. Deceptively strong (does not come across as 7.4%).

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle 330 ml from erzbierschof.ch. Black beer with average tan head. Sourish aromas of fruits and honey, herbs and licorice, smoked note. The taste is caramelized, roasted with fruity of prune, sticking and soft. Roasted malt and tar, smoked point, treacle and syrupy toffy but without butter. Sugary beer, earthy with slight hop, but warm and greedy.

330ml bottle. Very dark brown, almost black color. Medium fizzy tan head, stays. Roasted malts, licorice, faint burnt honey and weak milk coffee in aroma. Creamy, sweet, dry dark chocolate, mild bitter flavor. Medium texture, slightly fizzy. Very smooth to drink. Very good beer.
