The truth. You don’t want to hear the truth. The truth’s no longer out there bubba. Just chicken ass lies. Become a Dogma Disciple. Believe in the birds and the bees. Act crazy, be heavily armed at all times and scream in German.

Dogma is an indulgent, decadent and encapsulating scotch ale brewed with 10 different types of malt all blended together with Scottish heather honey. Soak up the sweet nectar like a jackrabbit on heat.

This beer is not cool. You may think it is, but that is just a beautiful lie fabricated by clowns and gypsies.

Bottle, slightly over date. Hazy red amber, golden lacing cream. Big heather perfume and flowery honey aroma, blueberries, herbs. Body has become dry, but still full and with a chewy center. Lovely herbal notes, pine needles, bog myrtle, juniper - the guerana note is there, but I cant claim I taste poppy or kola nut. - would be interesting to taste side by side with a fresh brew to see how the spaces change over time. Unusual and quite interesting brew.

Hazy copper color. 2 inch frothy beige head. Good scotch ale aroma, characteristic of the style but strong. Woody, caramel, oak aromas. Flavor is the same with a stone (mineral) and lichen finish. Mediocre for the style and the style sucks unless your from Scotland of course, or a Scottish fan boi!

big malty and spicy aroma, some notes of sugary honey, but overall bitter with obvious hops and spices. Very surprising and good

UPDATED: APR 6, 2014 Rerate:
At the Magic Beer Room... great... managed to forget I’ve had it and didn’t check. So yay, a rerate. Dark amber-brown body with a small off white head. Very sweet, slightly sticky malt dominated aroma, rosehip (must be the flowery note I’ve had last time). The taste is remarkably not exceedingly sweet, even slightly mild, if obviously malt-driven, fresh, with some coffee and, again, rosehip. Roasty finish. Staying with these numbers.

Old rating:
RBESG 2012 GT, guess this was available at the pub... dunno. Anyway, it poured a dark amber-brown body, off white head. Light malty roasty nose, flowery. Dry taste, sweetish, roasty, smooth, coffee, something nice.... Not a bad beer overall.
