The truth. You don’t want to hear the truth. The truth’s no longer out there bubba. Just chicken ass lies. Become a Dogma Disciple. Believe in the birds and the bees. Act crazy, be heavily armed at all times and scream in German.

Dogma is an indulgent, decadent and encapsulating scotch ale brewed with 10 different types of malt all blended together with Scottish heather honey. Soak up the sweet nectar like a jackrabbit on heat.

This beer is not cool. You may think it is, but that is just a beautiful lie fabricated by clowns and gypsies.

0.33l bottle. Pours reddish dark brown with a brown head. A lot of dark fruits, some chocolate and liquor in the nose. Taste is really similar to the aroma with less chocolate and more fruits. Nice creamy mouthfeel. Very nice beer.

Bottle at home on one of the hottest sundays of the year, 19th August 2012. Pours an orange red black, smell is liquorice, sweet and spice. Taste is liquorice, black treacle and molasses and some mead and honey, palate is sticky some Co2, interesting brew, not one I would make a regular of though

Served too warm on a balmy night in Edinburgh from a keg dispenser. Dark, malty and lacking the big hop taste I’ve grown to expect from BrewDog. Licorice & honey with a hint of chocolate but nothing really outstanding for a beer of this strength, a different style I know but nowhere near as satisfying as their 4.9% Zeitgeist.

21/07 RBESG Grand Tasting, 0.33 l bottle. It poured hazy reddish brown body with medium sized tan head. Weaker roasted malt aroma, burnt sugar, touch of licorice, raisins, touch of whisky and some herbal hops. Flavor was also sweet roasted, but much more hopped. Whole palette of citrus was here, with usual roasted malt things mentioned in aroma. Medium body, but quite sticky, like you’re eating raisins. Long, sweetish and a bit sharp alcoholic finish that adds to Scotch feeling. Quite a pleasant beer.

UPDATED: SEP 23, 2012 Bottle; black with merest hint of red brick, yellow-brown head; aroma of malt, honey and marmite; sweet and honeyed with a complex malt character; nice oily mouthfeel; enjoyably different; warming, like covering yourself with a tartan rug in a cold, windswept stand in Scottish Division Two.

Bottle from BrewDog webshop. Deep brown, ruby-hued body, medium light beige head retention. Aroma is mild grainy malt tones, caramel and faint hints of smoke. Very mild, I must say. Taste is deep malts and smooth caramel tones, salty licorice and burnt caramel in the finish. Extremely well balanced, but I miss the advertised honey touch which seems to be nowhere. Delicious full body creamy body, smooth palate and carbonation. All in all an excellent creation from BrewDog.
