Brewed with ten different types of malt, and blended together with Scottish heather honey, it is a pantheon to the gods of intricacy and nuance; a beer that celebrates a confluence of ideas. History is written by the victors, and Dogma is Scotch Ale triumphant; evolved.
Complex, indulgent and encapsulating, Dogma gives more than a cursory nod to history, to make you ponder the very nature of beer itself.

Bottle. Dark brown, average and mostly diminishing light brown head. Moderate malty and lightly sweetish aroma, light caramel and light roasted malt. Body is medium, malty and lightly flavor, faint caramel with faint honey sweetness and some roasted malt. Finish is average, malty and dryish, some roasted malt - light burnt malt, faint hoppyness. Roasted Scotch ale with faint noted of honey - could also use more bitterness to balance roastiness.

Odd very sweet with berry inflections. Honey, cough medicine and goji. Interesting experiment but a small amount goes a long way.

Looks lovely. Dark red to black, clear with brown head that quickly disappears. Aroma is burnt sugar, caramel and treacle. Tastes liquorice and very sweet. Aftertaste long with coffee and dark chocolate. Kind of like a very sweet stout. Tasty. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottled. Very dark brown with a small, disappearing, light brown head. Lots of malt and treacle on the nose. Sweet honey and treacle flavours at the start, lots of malt again, then a clean and slightly drier finish. Very good!

Dried fruits, chocolate, coffee soy sauce and licorice in the aroma. Dark brown with a red tint and a off white head. Medium to heavy sweet with light to medium bitterness. Medium to heavy body with a oily texture. Soft carbonation. Overall a interesting brew that i enjoyed quite much.

Aroma: coffee, roasted and caramel malts. Appearance: black, initially medium head, quickly disappearing. Taste: medium to heavy sweet. Palate: massive sweets, medium long finish, turning slightly bitter, coffee and roasted flavours coming up again, hints of dark chocolate. Overall: big fan of this Scotch Ale, very nice palate. Bottle from Brew Dog Ellon, Scotland.
