4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
Close to black body with a frothy head consisting of big, light brown bubbles that never disappear. The aroma is strong and very sweet and malty, with lovely roasted notes, dark caramel, dark dried fruits and honey. Very sweet taste that is balanced by a moderate bitter finish. Strong roasted flavours of dark caramel, raisins, prunes and honey. Stunning mouthfeel! Full body, viscous oily texture, moderate to soft carbonation. A wonderful beer!

C est fort en chocolat et café avec une belle amertume de bière foncée. Le côté miel est très discret, il faut un peu chercher ... Il apparaît en fin de bouche

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. Pours a dark brown with small, fine tan head. Settles quickly with essentially no lacing. Aroma is sweet, peated malt, smoky. Flavor is sweet, smoky, with a honey, nutty, malty finish. Mild chocolate tones. Medium body, soft carbonation, and sticky texture. A pleasant beer, admittedly better than the original rendition of dogma.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
An almost black beer with a beautiful, dense, medium and beige head. The nose is very sweet at the beginning, but itís also much more, caramell, some roastiness, honey, herbs and red berries, hint of heather. Taste is toffeeish malty with lots of raisins, nice roastiness, herbal hops dries. Overally, quite sweet, as toffee and raisins promises, but the taste is not too sweet. Medium+ bodied, not heavy. Quite sweet, but still rich of nuancess.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Location: Bottle from Central Market, 8/27/13, Batch 120, Best Before 1/21/14
Aroma: The nose has some licorice, dark fruit, honey, plenty of roasted malt, and some chocolate
Appearance: It pours a brown-black color with a small beige-brown head and mild, spotty lace
Flavor: The taste is mid-plus sweet up-front, with lots of roast and some mild bitterness later
Palate: The body is fairly full, it is a bit sticky, with a fairly soft carbonation, and a lengthy duration
This one is fairly sweet, but still pretty solid. Thereís a decent amount of balance among the malts, but there isnít much bitterness at all here. Overall, this beer is interesting, and worth trying, but it isnít something Iíd want to drink all that often.
