7th May 2012 Opaque dark brown beer with a tidy tan head. Palate is crisp and dry. Minerally dark malt with a strong coffee and marmite streak. Trace of sweet fruit underneath. Minerally fresh and tangy, Okay but something of a retrograde step for this beer methinks.

Bomber from Wine King Wall. Poured a slightly murky orange/amber with a smaler to average at best sized foamy off white head. Aroma is loaded with oxidation, cardboard and molassess along with caramel and old vanilla a touch of dates and raisin as well. Mouthfeel is medium with average carbonation and a decent lingering aftertaste. Flavor of oxidized caramel, bad vainlla, old raisins, dates, bad figs, old nuts. Blah it’s okay at best.

Bottle shared with mate. Strong/Scotch ales not usually my thing, but this one was quite good. Strong alcohol over the top of sweet malt, stewed fruit, some spice. Heavy mouthfeel.
