COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewed with ten different types of malt, and blended together with Scottish heather honey, it is a pantheon to the gods of intricacy and nuance; a beer that celebrates a confluence of ideas. History is written by the victors, and Dogma is Scotch Ale triumphant; evolved.
Complex, indulgent and encapsulating, Dogma gives more than a cursory nod to history, to make you ponder the very nature of beer itself.

Dark as like you, tan head. Coffee and liquorice nose. Some bovril notes too! More intense liquorice in the the flavour. Thick mouthfeel. A great late night beverage.

Extremely dark brown in colour. Highly enjoyable, not overly strong in terms of alcohol too.

Bottle. Pours a very deep brown with a medium beige head. Aroma is of treacle, chocolate and toffee. Taste is sweet that moves into a bitter finish. The body of the beer is a lot thinner than expected but doesn’t detract from it’s enjoyment.

Aroma of sweet barley and mintiness, very unique and appealing in an odd way. Has nice head and a black-burgundy body. Flavour is sweet barley notes but toned down so not to be cloying. Medium finish. It’s a very drinkable brew.

Interesting beer. Sweet honey nut taste. Very smokey. Interesting thin but sticky body. This really isn’t like any beer I’ve had before.

Bottle brought to Islands by Erica and Chris that they shared with me and Dan.. Pours a deep brown to black with a thin beige head. Aroma of honey, chocolate, toffee, roasted nuts plus dark fruits. Taste of chocolate, prune, honey, burnt caramel, roasted nuts and some liquorice. Medium bodied, rich and soft carbonation. A sweet, warming, liquoricey finish. A really good beer. Sweet and malty then spicy only lightly bitter.
