The truth. You don’t want to hear the truth. The truth’s no longer out there bubba. Just chicken ass lies. Become a Dogma Disciple. Believe in the birds and the bees. Act crazy, be heavily armed at all times and scream in German.

Dogma is an indulgent, decadent and encapsulating scotch ale brewed with 10 different types of malt all blended together with Scottish heather honey. Soak up the sweet nectar like a jackrabbit on heat.

This beer is not cool. You may think it is, but that is just a beautiful lie fabricated by clowns and gypsies.

A really strong one with some more than ripe fruits, a bit of pepper and some sweetness in the back. High drinkability which will hit you badly with its high abv. Not bad but quite unexpected from brewdog.

Bottle from Rudat in Dortmund. Pours out in a deep dark brown colour with smooth body and steady low head. Aroma of roasted barley and torf. Taste of barley, leaves, woods, torf, dark bread, mild hops, chocolate and oak. Special beer - not that easy to drink but nice and quaffable anyway.

Too weak for me to be a good scotch ale. Quite malty, lightly roasted, some caramel, kinda bread, molasses. Moderate sweet, bit dry finish. More like old ale to me – too thin for scotch :P

Saeglopur (265) - Vienna Woods, AUSTRIA - JUN 8, 2014
Bottle from AmmersinO, Vienna. Dark brown to black body, with a medium, creamy, beige, not very stable head. Aroma is a bit like a sweet, dark, alcoholic cake, with chocolate, honey, caramel, dried fruits, some coffee. Tastes of chocolate, coffee, smoke, honey, caramel, dark fruits. Mouthfeel is full, oily, with a moderate carbonation and it finishes roasty, bitter and sweet, with some alcohol warmth. Really interesting, intensive ale, that is pretty filling, maybe a bit too filling for my liking. Although a sweet beer, still in a good balance. Overall enjoyable.

Dark brown with small white head. Aroma dark fruits, fortified wine & berries. Taste is quite sweet with bitter balance. Palate thick. Negligible carbonation. Very mild alcohol burn on the finish.
