COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewed with ten different types of malt, and blended together with Scottish heather honey, it is a pantheon to the gods of intricacy and nuance; a beer that celebrates a confluence of ideas. History is written by the victors, and Dogma is Scotch Ale triumphant; evolved.
Complex, indulgent and encapsulating, Dogma gives more than a cursory nod to history, to make you ponder the very nature of beer itself.

Comme dit le brasseur, it’s a lie fabricated by clowns and gypsies …

UPDATED: SEP 26, 2012 Bardzo dobre ciemno-brązowe piwo, rozgrzewające i pachnące kawą, palonym słodem i odrobiną miodu. Piana ciemno żółta i trwała. Smak treściwy i wyrazisty. W zapachu intensywnie palony. Wytrawny finisz

I’ve been trying beers for years and have more recently realized that I like stouts and porters. I had the Dogma in London at the BrewDog pub and it was so delicious. It had full smooth flavors. Wish I had one right now...

Niesamowite piwo. Fantastyczny aromat czekoladowo-alkoholowy. W smaku nuty torfowo-wiśniowe, do tego gorzka czekolada. Świetne odczucie w ustach, piwo jest gęste, zalepia kubki smakowe.

Mild, but very pleasant aroma. Mostly you can feel coffee and roast. Dark, almost black in color with a hint of amber-brown. Some nice foam in the beginning but they dissolve very quickly. The taste is rather sweet, with a little bitterness in the finish as well as with some feel of alcohol. Low level of carbonation. Overall, this beer was excellent and I enjoyed it very much. One of the best I’ve ever tasted and in my TOP3 of Brewdog’s ales.

Bottle at home. I waited to try this brew for a few months and I wasn’t disappointed. Pours a dark brown, nearly black with a finger of creamy brown head. Head retention and lacing is poor but it is typical for this kind of beer. Aroma is rich and complex. There is a lot of malt, coffe and chocolate aroma with hints of honey. Body is rich, creamy and oily almost like a coffe. Taste is amazing. It starts sweet with some honey, chocolate, dark fruits, then turns malty and bready and ends with slight bitterness. Everything is followed with a constant light coffe flavour which makes you want more and more. Overall: This is a great complex beer from BrewDog supposed to drink only when you are in mood for something like this.

Another treat by BrewDog. Dark copper appearance, near black, with beige head. Aroma is caramel with a hint of spicy. Sweetness and bitterness perfectly balanced in the palate. Caramel, dark fruits, honey. Creamy and smooth. Lovely

Bottle 0,33L. Dark, ruby brown color with small, light brown, frothy head. Aroma of some strong brandy/scotch drinks, dried dark fruits, very similar to barley wine beers. Taste starts slightly sour with a cherry notes drowned in alcohol drinks. Finish is heavy bitter and also a bit sour. Great example of Scotch ale!
