COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The truth. You don’t want to hear the truth. The truth’s no longer out there bubba. Just chicken ass lies. Become a Dogma Disciple. Believe in the birds and the bees. Act crazy, be heavily armed at all times and scream in German.

Dogma is an indulgent, decadent and encapsulating scotch ale brewed with 10 different types of malt all blended together with Scottish heather honey. Soak up the sweet nectar like a jackrabbit on heat.

This beer is not cool. You may think it is, but that is just a beautiful lie fabricated by clowns and gypsies.

Seriously dark with a honeycomb coloured head. There is a note of honey initially, but it isn’t light, fragrant manuka honey, it is honey in a rich sherry dosed treacle cake. In the mouth there is a good flush of carbonation and then big cake, treacle and molasses in the mouth. I wasn’t expecting it to be so rich, but it is. It is rich, oily beer similar to Old Engine Oil from Harviestoun.

Big bottle poured into mug. Dark brown, minimal white head. Aroma of malt, toast, molasses, starburst, wheat, fruit, chocolate. I think there is some scotch in it. Rather unusual, would have been unpleasant if it wasn’t so interesting. Flavor is alcohol, yeast, malt, sugar, cocoa, bread. A touch of licorice and honey. Very tasty.

Bottle, 0.33l. Clear dark brown color with totally diminishing medium creamy light brown head and sparkling appearance. Aroma of caramel, scotch, wood, dried fruits and honey. Taste starts with moderate sweet caramel malt, pretty well roasted and woody, follows by dried fruits acidity and licorice, milky mouthfeel and light bitter finish. Full body, creamy texture and average carbonation in palate. My first choice would be Pinarello Dogma, but BrewDog’s Dogma is more affordable...

330ml bottle from Brewdog online store. Pours black-brown with a creamy beige foam head and aroma of malt, roast, coffee, caramel, toffee, nutty, Taste is sweet malty with molasses, chocolate, raisins, dark fruits, smoke and roast bitterness. Smooth mouthfeel, medium bodied, soft carbonation, warm finish some spice. Very drinkable.

Bottle at home. Pours black, sweet toffee and caramel, rich and full, light smoke. Better after a few months in the bottle.

Subtle aroma with hints of liquorice is alluring. A beer that would be an excellent match for a cheese or chocolate desert.

Julie says. That there is a bunch of weird things not really a Scottish ale. She also says piney okay on front of the mouth. She give 2.8 ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle at Brewdog, Camden. Dark brown with a small off-white head. Medium to full body with low to moderate carbonation. Well balanced sweet and bitter tones. Dark malts, raisin, caramel, dark fruits, brown sugar and some spices. Another tasty quality brew from the brewdog.

Tar body with moderate mocha head. Lasting. Roasted malts and liquorice on the nose. Smoky character rises as it warms. Unfortunately this is more fag-ash than tobacco and borders on unpleasant. Some chocolate and bread in the undergrowth. Taste is a little muddled. The palate doesn’t aid the cause, either. Its flat and very thin on the back-end. Flavor offer some tobacco and roasty real-ale-esque malt. Barley. Peaty, smoky finish. Like the aroma the taste is reminiscent of an orchestral group comprised of virtuoso performers but lacking a binding agent in the form of a composer. The scent and flavors are varied and discernible but don’t flow harmoniously. Shame.
