The truth. You don’t want to hear the truth. The truth’s no longer out there bubba. Just chicken ass lies. Become a Dogma Disciple. Believe in the birds and the bees. Act crazy, be heavily armed at all times and scream in German.

Dogma is an indulgent, decadent and encapsulating scotch ale brewed with 10 different types of malt all blended together with Scottish heather honey. Soak up the sweet nectar like a jackrabbit on heat.

This beer is not cool. You may think it is, but that is just a beautiful lie fabricated by clowns and gypsies.

Dark ruby brown with a small beige head fading completely. Nice toffee/caramel nose with hints of herbs. Medium to full body, malty, herbal, finishing on a long delicate malt and honey finish. Very easy drinking scotch ale, nicely done.

Beer and Cheese in Taipei. Dark copper pour - clear brown. Aroma is sweet bread, with tiny bit of cinnamon. Taste is honey, (!) bready malty, very very bready and sweet. Slight bitterness. Not bad.

Bottle at Beer & Cheese in Taipei, straight from airport. Pours dark still cola-black with no head. Like what'd you expect from a scotch ale (raisin, soy sauce, malt) but with more hop and coffee, which is nice. Sharp and acidic; body is a little on the thin side.

Bottle. Pours a dark brown, aroma is sweet and cakey, with soy and meat too. Medium body, light to medium carbonation. Rum and dark fruit, choc, coke, treacle.... Too sweet but ok. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle@home. Pours dark ruby red, hints of roasted/smokey tones on the nose. Sweet treacle tart taste with a hint of a hoppy finish. Not my thing.

A crazy complex flavor with chocolate licorice smoke and other things. It stays very interesting from beginning to end. Only real complaint is that it’s a bit sweet later on. Reasonable price too.

Quite a dark brown with a frothy tan head and nice lacing. Aroma of caramel, soy sauce, wood, and fig. Sweet malty, fruity flavor with mild bitterness and some booze. Full thick body, average carbonation. Pretty good.

22 ounce bottle. Deep mahogany brown color. Small bubbly tan head. Rich roasted malt aroma has notes of brown baked bread. Upfront, flavor is rich and earthy with notes of soy sauce and roasted nuts. Big, chewy mouthfeel has a woody, coffee-like character. Though the ratebeer style is listed as a scotch ale, this more like a rich complex porter, since there is no smoky peat character at all. Some resiny hops in finish help to balance slightly what is a malt dominated brew. This is a big, rich , heavy, stick-to-your ribs ale that will please malt lovers.
