Aroma: Malty, dough, bready, honey with a hint of caramel.
Taste: light bitterness with a medium sweetness and slight sourness.
Palate: Light body, thin texture, slight carbonation, fairly harsh bitterness and quite astringent. The bitterness seemed to be balanced by the sweetness.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 14/20 Foffern (772) - Bodø, NORWAY - JUN 10, 2013
Bottle at home. The colour is dark nut brown with a beige medium head. Sweet aroma of coffee, leather, brown sugar, caramel, cocoa and some licorice. The flavour has more chocolate, lactose, and roasted malt in the background with coffee and something reminiscent of Baileys liqueur. Has a smooth and slick mouth feel, and a light bitterness. A sweet ale but is balanced and tasteful.

[330ml bottle from Westholme Stores] Black-brown with a large tan head and a light fizz. Coffee up front, then honey, chocolate, charcoal and a hint of health drink. Lovely relaxing late night beer maybe a little sweet and sticky by the end, but it does have the roast malt bitterness to balance. Lovely stuff.
