4.7 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20 davidm (1359) - Melbourne, AUSTRALIA - DEC 4, 2010
Tap at Biero. Masterpiece. Aromas of caramel, biscuit, grass, apricot, and butter. Taste has a sweet start, with bitterness taking over for a very long finish. Palate is creamy, with a medium-to-full body. Amber, with a frothy head.
4.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20 beerelephant (11) - California, USA - DEC 2, 2011
Nothing normal about this beer. The caffeinated African Kola nut and Brazilian Guarana expedite your journey to joy. Aroma is somewhat mellow compared to the palate pull...honey, caramel, pear, Brazil nut, strawberry, and apricot. This isn’t a fruity beer, but the essence is there and welcome. Brew Dog’s stock price just went up.
4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20 Ethereal (2399) - Los Angeles, California, USA - AUG 9, 2008
Bottle at GBBF 08. Perfect amber colouration with a small magnolia head. Great hoppiness on the nose, balanced by a honey note. Likewise, in the mouth, all the ingredients come into play to give rise to a complex and interesting flavour. The palate is full and overall I found this to be a great beer.

Mmmm. It’s a spiced IPA. Like an IPA mixed with a Christmas ale. Hazy amber with a beautiful off-white heavy lacing head. Aroma of spices, floral hops, grass and some caramel malt. Taste is a little sweet, but dominated by a spicy bitterness. Very nice.

Taste an awesome bittersweet, honey, fruits, hint of spices/hearbs.
Mouth-feel oily.
This is a great beer I love the taste and aroma, to bad it’s the last batch.

UPDATED: NOV 30, 2008 Bottle(s) thanks to martin! Pale and richer malts, fruity and somewhere between floural and spice. Brewdog grassy yeasty character. Amarillo hop is key, the other unusual flavours are pritty subtle. Alc is hidden and its quite drinkable. RERATE: Like alot of the brewdog beers its developed with age in the bottle. Its really tasty, spicey, hoppy, balanced yet has a nice sweetness too it(probably from the spice) and its dangerously drinkable. No wonder i just bought 3 more online!

Nice clear color and lots of head. Nice malt aroma with an undercurrent that must be the kola nut. The body is similar
4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 jstraw (1210) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - JAN 21, 2011
Cloudy amber with light, bubbly, beige head / Nose of sour malt, caramel, and herb / Medium body, creamy and fat, malty with some sweetness and hop balance, and with good, lightly bitter, finish / Flavors of sour malt, nut, poppy seed, and caramel / Interesting, quite nice, and reminiscent of an eastern European poppy seed roll.
4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20 SFLpunk (134) - Burlington, Vermont, USA - APR 6, 2009
"Ale brewed with honey, kola nut, poppy seed and guarana."
24.4oz brown glass pry-top. Batch 196. BB 03/03/10.
Appearance: The most head I’ve gotten from a BrewDog beer yet: 1/4 inch and fast fading bone white head. Clear orange/amber.
Nose: Caramel covered nuts and seeds, forest floor, dried orange peel. Complex and subtle.
Palate: Medium-bodied and somewhat bitter. Guarana! Like a tropical-fruit-infused cream soda ale. Best way I can describe it. Some black-pepper-like spiciness, and some dusty hops on the long finish. Finish is dominated by this creamy guarana.
Notes: This beer is somewhat subtle, and if you don’t know what guarana tastes like, you should go to your local ethnic food grocer and see if the have a Guarana Soda from Brazil. It’ll give you an idea. Yum!
