COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A 7.1% black IPA brewed by our shareholders. Boasting 80 IBUs, we double dry hopped the beer with mountains of Amarillo, Columbus, Chinook, Cascade and Centennial hops. After dry hopping we wanted to add a little more depth and another layer of complexity to the beer so we aged it on toasted oak chips for a further 2 weeks.

Bottle from trade with Scopey, shared with Joes. Dark brown almost black color with a very nice deep dark red glow coming through. No head, just a small off-white lacing. Smell a bit roasty, slightly coffee or caramel, slightly sweet, a little hops and slight hints of wood. Taste alcohol, roastyness, lightly hops. Lightly oily texture but tastes a little thin. Appears stronger than 7,1% ABV. Not dominantly though.

Bottle from brewdog online. Pours thin black with a medium tanned head. The head disappears fairly quick. Same aroma as 5am saint. Lightly carbonated and slightly oily texture. Bright butterscotch flavours with a hint of smoke. I helped make this and I’m bloomin proud.

Really like this - hops blend really well with the roast malts and it manages to be hoppy without being too bitter... ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
