COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A 7.1% black IPA brewed by our shareholders. Boasting 80 IBUs, we double dry hopped the beer with mountains of Amarillo, Columbus, Chinook, Cascade and Centennial hops. After dry hopping we wanted to add a little more depth and another layer of complexity to the beer so we aged it on toasted oak chips for a further 2 weeks.

Bottle at Chris O’s Pre-GBBF Shindig 2011. Dark brown color. The aromas of lemon, grapefruit and pepper. More grapefruit and pepper in the flavor with chocolate and firm bitterness. Good. One of the better Brewdogs.

330ml bottle (ChrisO Pre-GBBF2011 "Donkey Dork Lord" Shindig)
Great hoppy aroma, very fruity and floral. Full palate. Great hoppy taste, but decent mellow malts back that up. Very well balanced and drinkable dark hoppy beer.

Bottle. Thanks to bobinlondon. Poured a deep brown, nearly black, with a thick beige head. Pure roasted malts, toffee, coffee, chocolate, with a huge piney hop bite. Absolute cracker of a beer. Nice bitter finish. Slight heat at the finish.

Bottle at Chriso’s Pre-GBBF Shindig, 2011. Great nose of cherry, chocolate, orange. Flavor is chocolate, wood, with bitter, earthy hops. Nice, raunchy and fruity, though the flavor can’t quite match the nose.

Bottle at ChrisO’s Pre-GBBF Shindig 2011. Pours a slightly cloudy brown with a foam head. Huge pine nose with notes of earth and grapefruit. Great, sweet flavor, nice roastiness, juicy hops, light cocoa. Medium bodied, oily, with average carbonation. Slightly sticky finish, rindy citrus hops, pine, good roasted malts. Delicious.

A Mes rate. At Chris O’s pre GBBF.
Deep dark brown with a thin beige film topping. Big grassy fresh hop snout that is actually really good. The flavour is a little too coffee dominated but it still works really well. A lick of toffee at the edges. Just a little too malty for it to really sing but yeah, best beer I’ve had from BrewDog in a while.
