Cask at the Southampton Arms, London NW5 on 7th January 2010. Named BrewDog BELGIAN BLONDE. Gold with a fully lacing white head. Hoppy, bitter and spicy with a honey note. Grassy hop, bitter dry finish on a textured mouthfeel. Rather like how I imagine Orval would taste if cask conditioned.

Bottle from Brewdog.com. Wow. It’s amazing the difference the yeast can make. Tastes like a sour Belgian beer, very unlike regular trashy.

Bottle 33 cl. Courtesy of cgarvieuk. Pours a hazy golden with a small white head. Some citrusy hops in the nose with a whiff of phenols. Medium body, a very dry fruitiness, a little yeast and a hoppy, bitter finish. Very crisp and sessionable. 190212

Bottle, 4.1%. Faint hoppy aroma. Cloudy golden colour. Small white head. The flavour is nicely hoppy. A little caramelly hoppiness, grapefruity bitterness. Some yeast flavour, but tastes more of baking yeast than Belgian ale yeast.

Bottle. A clear one, golden in color an almost headless. The aroma is pleasantly fruity, with some yeasty hints. Nice bitterness in the flavor, with fruityness, some resin and orange peel. Medium to thin on the palate, and quite bitter in the end. A quite pleasant session strength beer combining England and Belgium in a nice way. 120219
