3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Really interesting aroma, the white wine comes through, with hazelnuts and red fruit . The taste isn’t quite as powerful, the wine dominates the finish, it is very drinkable for its abv, but was expecting more.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20
Very syrupy, some sherry white wine and apricot. Fruity, syrupy texture, very strong alcohol aroma. Taste is very peachy, wine is there, some acidity, and again, very very sweet. Could be good, but too sweet, too much wine, the "saison" character is zero, and mouthfeel is very syrupy.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
33cl bottle from Appellation Wines.
Appearance - amber with a thin head that disappears quickly.
Nose - somewhere between honey and syrup. Actually verging on toffee. Definite barrel influence dominant.
Taste - repeat of the nose.
Palate - rich and full bodied with a big creamy texture and a fairly good finish despite the richness.
Overall - quite annoyed with this one as I thought combination of white burgundy barrels and saison would be excellent. Good idea I thought but didn’t work out.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Seconds of yellowish head from the cristal-clear raspberry-coloured beer; big, lazy-bubbled. Sweet fruit nose, verging towards the syrupy; oxydation, old oak, fruitliqueur. Liqueurish flavour, delicate despite the fruitsyrup streak Perfect twining of kitch and great Art, of natural and chemical(-like). Some rosé dessertwine springs to mind, in the best of ways. Warming up, a flavour as from blue cheese (the hops?) Flat as a pancake. Syrupy-oily-viscous; liqueurish in one word. It doesn’t make sense, indeed. Do I like it because, or despite this?

4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Draught at BrewDog Clapham Junction’s opening night; 13 August. Poured a clear, bright, dark amber, with a dense white head. Aroma was massive, lots of dried fruit, honeycomb and apricot. Grainy flavours, some oranges, peal and straw. Finish was mellow and very nicely balanced, with some tinned fruit, marmalade and hop resin.

2.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle from a shop in york. Copper with no head. Raisins and sherry is right! Taste is very sweet, and a bit sour almost tart (tugs at the saliva glands). Don’t get any bitterness. Carbonation is prickly and body Is medium, plenty of oil. Wouldn’t drink again at this price.

3.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
330 ml bottle at home. Pours clear orangy-amber with no head. Wine alike intense fruity nose: peach, lychee, apricots, orange juice, raisins and sweet white wine . This is the best part however. Medium body, no carbonation whatsoever, and then the palate is mess of everything: sour sting, unpleasant bitterness, some alcohol burn, ... without any balance. Taste is then again yeah... bland.
