33cl bottle from Vinmonopolet, Vika. Pours clear amber with an off-white head. Herbal aroma with ginger, caramel and something that reminds me of common wormwood. Quite sweet and flavoursome, but a bit strange. Certainly a bit different, but I’m not entirely convinced. Quite decent brew, but nothing I feel an urge to drink again.

17.06.2013. 0,33l Bottle. Vinmonopolet Bergen Storsenter. Golden colour with white head. Aroma of berries and herbs. Lots of herds and other spycy flavours. Mild malty body. Strange bitterness. Its dry and bitter but its not hops. Good flavours of hearb, but I cant determine what herbs it is. At the end its more like wood or spruce with flavours of some kind af tree or resin acids. Dry tounge. Interresting beer.

bottle. Amber with small head. Gruit style with lots of herbs. Rosemary stands out slightly. Very unique, but I preferred the Flying Dog version.

Deep copper, beige head. Smells of dark malts, spices, dark fruits and Fernet Branca. Heavy sweet, a sting of alcohol, dark fruits and that spicy herbal Fernet Branca again. Medium bitter finish,. Quite interesting; strange to call it an IPA though. Is it all just marketing?

Hazy copper pour with a thick off-white head. Aroma is hoppy, but different. It has a cedar-like fragrance with something sweet in the background. Taste is flat cedar up front dropping off quickly with a strange tangy mid palate and a short non-specific fruity reveal at the finish. You get a little malt at the back of the throat. Hmmmm.

Medium offwhite head. Clear reddish amber body with carbonation.
Strong fruity spicy aroma with wild berry and sandalwood notes.
Dry-sweet spicy cinnamon and sandalwood taste with fruity herbal
notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, soft, smooth mouthfeel. Dryish earthy
herbal dried fruit aftertaste with wooden cinnamon notes.
Lovely! Intensely aromatic, yet smooth and harmonic. Not nearly
as bitter as a normal IPA, but it does have the bitterness of an
ordinary beer. The alcohol is also very well hidden. (0.33l
bottle, wine monopoly, Vika.)

Copper, red tones. Head disappears very quickly. Herb, alcohol, lots of cherry aroma. Very weird beer, feels almost like a liquer drink.

Min første øl (fra et kommersielt bryggeri) brygget helt uten humle. Bruser med stor vellyd, men skummet forsvinner like fort som i en bringebærbrus. Aroma av søte bær og peppermynte. Smaker som alkopop/bringebærbrus. Som øl er den ute av balanse - sødme uten bitterhet, men vitaminene er godt skjult.

0,33 bottle kvadrat. Pours cloudy orange with a small white head. Aroma is soapy and ginger, spiced and herbal. Spiced, ginger, citric, bite and soapy. Something that reminds me of a bitter licour in the end there. Prob my taste buds but this is not my thing. But a interesting, complex taste it is.

Bottle (33cl) from Vinmonopolet (Storo), Oslo. Clear amber/copper colour. Half-inch offwhite head, good retention. Spicy/herbal aroma with cloves, crowberry, licorice root, menthol, cookies. Medium body, soft carbonation, slight mouth-cleansing sensation. Semi-sweet herbal taste with mild bitterness and some acidity. Herbal-bitter aftertaste. I was underwhelmed initially (expecting some IPA likeness), but when forgetting that, this is somewhat of a grower.
