COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Say hello to Ghost Deer. A defiant and irreverent, devil may care, supersonic bitch of a beer. Ghost Deer is a 28% fermented beer, the strongest ever fermented beer which is only ever served from a single handcrafted and authentic deer’s head.

The beer itself is a robust 28% blonde ale. After fermentation it is aged for 6 months in some amazing whisky, bourbon, rum and sherry barrels. There is only one Ghost Deer head and this beer will only ever be available on draft, served in a stemmed glass, direct from the mouth of the deer himself.

6cl bottle from Appellation Wines. Pours a light honey colour with no head. The nose has rum and raisin, maybe even dates with a suggestion of bread n butter pudding. The taste is somewhere between rum and brandy in flavour with a very big alcohol burn. The palate has very obvious alcohol as you would expect and this takes away somewhat from the general balance of it. Overall, though, glad they did it.

Miniature bottle [big thanks to kermis!] shared @ weekly tasting. Clear amber-ish color, no head. Aroma is alcoholic, but it has some caramel as well. A bit like a cider actually. Taste malts, alcohol, liquor, nuts, whisky, bitter. Warming alcohol burn in the finish. Quite pleasant overall.

Ahí va texto integro de la etiqueta: If you are lucky enough to get your hands on Ghost Deer then be careful. This Schizophrenic delusional screw up of a drink is best enjoyed with vigilance and a dose of vagrant optimism. At 28% Ghost Deer is the wolds strongest fermented beer. A beer that is an audacious blend of eccentricity, artistry and rebellion. After fermentation this beer has been aged for 12 months in some amazing whisky, bourbon, run and sherry barrels """Si tienes la suerte de conseguir sus manos en Ghost Deer entonces tenga cuidado. Una cerveza que es una mezcla audaz de la excentricidad, el arte y la rebelión. Clear deep amber color, no head. Vanilla, fresh wood, caramel and alcohol in the nose. Medium-bodied. Lots of vanilla - very sweet - dessert wine. Lots of sugar, some burning alcohol. Better than expected!

Very small bottle at Cecil Late Fall Monster tasting. Pours clear deep golden. Aroma is very alcoholic, ripe fruit and is port like. The flavor is heavy alcohol and sweet ripe fruit. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Clear, dark red colour, no head at all. Incredible, strong and complex aroma with rum, caramel, alcohol, wood, anise, vanilla, a deep fruity character, strong Metaxa notes. Oily, strong alcoholic body. Strong, alcoholic, sweet flavour with anise and caramel, rum and notes of whiskey, wood, honey, a great range of subdued fruity notes. Impressive, interesting, and definitely worth a try.

Bottle into snifter. Transparent light brown colour, no head. Smell is sherry- and alcohol- forward, with some rum too. A swirl brings up some legs. Taste is, again, sherry-forward, quite a rich body with traces of the malty beer that once was, some diacetyl maybe, liquorice, plenty of alcohol sharpness. At 28% this tastes stronger than it is. I find it hard to think of this as a beer. As a spirit it is drinkable but not great.
