Say hello to Ghost Deer. A defiant and irreverent, devil may care, supersonic bitch of a beer. Ghost Deer is a 28% fermented beer, the strongest ever fermented beer which is only ever served from a single handcrafted and authentic deer’s head.

The beer itself is a robust 28% blonde ale. After fermentation it is aged for 6 months in some amazing whisky, bourbon, rum and sherry barrels. There is only one Ghost Deer head and this beer will only ever be available on draft, served in a stemmed glass, direct from the mouth of the deer himself.

Ahí va texto integro de la etiqueta: If you are lucky enough to get your hands on Ghost Deer then be careful. This Schizophrenic delusional screw up of a drink is best enjoyed with vigilance and a dose of vagrant optimism. At 28% Ghost Deer is the wolds strongest fermented beer. A beer that is an audacious blend of eccentricity, artistry and rebellion. After fermentation this beer has been aged for 12 months in some amazing whisky, bourbon, run and sherry barrels """Si tienes la suerte de conseguir sus manos en Ghost Deer entonces tenga cuidado. Este esquizofrénico delirante tornillo de una bebida se disfruta mejor con una vigilancia y una dosis de optimismo vagabundo. En 28% Ghost Deer es la más fuerte de la cerveza fermentada del s wold. Una cerveza que es una mezcla audaz de la excentricidad, el arte y la rebelión. Después de la fermentación de esta cerveza ha sido envejecido durante 12 meses en un poco de whisky increíble, bourbon, correr y barriles de jerez""""

Very weird barley wine coming out of a ridiculous little bottle of 5 cl (or tapped from a reindeer’s head...). Could be, as they claim, the strongest beer in the world reaching an astonishing 28% ABV by fermentation alone, but the ageing on different liquor barrels certainly added to this. Litterally no head, like an unblended lambic, but looking more like a glass of cognac, with a very warm, beautiful copper colour, cristal clear. Extremely powerful, intoxicating and complexely structured aroma of any good spirit, reminiscent of brown rhum, figues in ’jenever’, calvados, honey, raisins, sweet white wine, pepper, cognac, whisky and candy. Equally powerful, almost agressive taste, very sweet but in a liqueurish kind of way, like orange liqueur, oily mouthfeel but not too sticky, cinnamon, amaretto, rhum, noble character with huge complexity and inevitably lots of warming alcohol in the finish, but much less wry than I feared, as in the best of single malts. Very remote from what most people understand as being ’beer’ but anyone capable of enjoying high-quality spirits next to beer, should be thrilled by something like this. I will never forget this experience and it only confirms Brewdog’s reputation as one of the most progressive and creative breweries in the Old World.

Amber colored one, no head. Aroma. Hmmm. Sweet aroma with marzipan, raisins, vanilla.Seductive, strong, characteristic one. Oily body, sweetish flavor with vanilla, wood, spicies. Wonder of beers on the edge, high class.

i’m drinking the FULL bottle, on my own, as breakfast . 6 cl , whoah! epic beerbottle ! :p in my eyes set to kill shotglass ! pours clear copper, smell is grainy, bit boozy, bit ’medicinal’ , wood, also i feel like i’m taking a walk in the forrest :p no foam, obviously waaw, so thick in the mouthfeel, sweet, syrupy, alcohol warmth much alike vodka, but less strong ofcourse. . definetly do get hints of the barrels, bourbon kinda overrules the others. honey in parts, woody, , much of the whiskey in the back, almost as if i were drinking whiskey, but with a better taste than the ones i had so far. . very oaky and thick. nice! thnx to kermis for the bottle !

Sample at Stockholm Beer and Whiskey Festival 2011, poured by Mr. Watts himself. Aroma has loads of caramel and vanilla, very, very intense aroma. It pours a dark amber with almost no foam. Taste is sweet, vanilla, toffee, caramel, also very intense and rich. Burns a little as it goes down, not surprising considering the 28% ABV and feels thick and oily on the palate. Quite the experience!

Bottle @ NK Saluhall. Clear amber colour with no head to speak of. Aroma of malt, alcohol, port, sherry. Flavour is somewhat malty, strong in sherry and port flavours. More like a sherry and/or port than a beer. I liked it, but then I do love port so might be that.

Miniature bottle from Drink of Fulham. Dark amber, no head. Incredibly rich aroma, like a top-range tawny with vanilla, orange zest as well as a palate of other fruits. Marcipane, whisky, orange chocolate flavours. Noticeable alcohol. Borderline and dangerously exciting.

Light brown with no head or carbonation. Aroma is vanilla, raisins, brown sugar, raisins, caramel, dates, booze. Full bodied, smooth on the palate with some sweetness, not as much booze as you'd think. Taste is vanilla, whiskey, wood, bourbon, brown sugar, dates, raisins, rum. Quite tasty.
