Draught keg at Pivo, York. Gold body. Large white head. Hoppy, aromatic flowery hops, pine resin. Bitter. Dry finish. Probably wouldn’t have guessed it was a lager, seemed more like a golden ale.

Keg at York Tap. Pours a clear orange, finger of pillowy head. Aroma is juicy citrus and breadiness. Taste is similar, with a bit more bread. Crisp, dry, very refreshing. Not outstanding, but perfectly good. I like.

Keg at York Tap. Slightly hazy orange with a big fluffy white head. Big Citra nose, grassy hop, passionfruit, big lemon. Juicy front, very prickly carbonation, passion fruit juiciness and a mild, rounded hop bitterness. Not bad at all.

Off cask at the Sheffield tap. Not a lager I’m used to. Lots of citrus and in no way too fizzy. Very nice.

Cask at the Euston Tap. Clear, rich gold with a slight head. Huge, pungent hop aroma, orange, grapefruit, heavy resins and pine. Pretty sweet, rich flavor, some honey maltiness, and tons of hops, heavy pine, earth. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Semi-sticky hop finish, deeply resinous, some nicely toasted malts, bread, a little salt and citra come through. Brilliant stuff. High marks. Would never guess this is a lager. (For the record, I love lagers.)

hand bottle at home ... dark amber ... thin short lived white head .. fading to thin lacing ... huge orangy hop ... wonderfuly aromatic citra hop nose ... still a light carbonation ... light oily body ... sweet fruits ... again juicy citra hop ... juicy and very drinkable ... but maybe just a little one dimensional ... its just citra citra citra all the way ... no real clues this is a lager... id have gone for a single hop ipa again if i hadnt been told

On cask and keg at the Euston Tap on 14 April 2011. Amber colour. Creamy white head. Extremely pungent nettley, herbaceous hop aroma that might fool you into thinking this is more of an APA than a lager. More of the same on the palate with a zesty, orange pith character developing strongly. There’s also an unusual spicy feel that I can’t quite place on the palate. Fairly mellow mouthfeel with extremely appealing drinkability. Very pleasant and enjoyable indeed - definitely a good sessioner. Nothing much to choose between the cask and keg versions here.

Full pint enjoyed@Euston Tap, London. A low fine-bubbled shiny white head, upon a clear bright copper colored body. Seducing tropical-fruity, floral and citrus-zesty hop aroma. Taste is hop driven. Tropical, oranges and lemon for flavoring. Fairly mild and gentle bitterness. Crisp and clean malts underneath. There is a light sweetness, drying up towards the end. Light-bodied. Easy on the palate, feels a bit watered down. Fruity hops linger in the finish. Overall a great session-beer. Super drinkability. And yes, it’s a lager!
