DownsouthGav (601) - Greater London, ENGLAND - OCT 14, 2007
Cask @ Crpydon Beer Festival 2007. A very strong hoppy nose with spice and syrup evident. Colour was deep hjoney. Mouthfeel soft with some malt but predominantly hoppy with citrus. A muscat like consistency with an enduring hoppiness.

Amber color, no head. Clover, cold coffee/coffee powder aroma - strange. Attacking sweet-bitter hops, some diacetyl comes up in the finish. Long hoppy bitter aftertaste. Flat. Alcoholic, brandy-like notes. This bottle was infected or this is quite strange IIPA.

Bottled. Slightly hazy golden. Almost no head. Sweet, perfume-ish, fruity aroma and flavour. "Sweaty socks" was a comment from an ipa-rookie...

UPDATED: APR 21, 2010 Cask at the Blue Blazer Edinburgh ... Very nice golden orange ... Lemon tart hoppynesss ... high hop sweet juicy and lots of hop resins. little tart orange... well made... 3.5

ahhh well i assumed this was the NEW version when i had it ... as i was suprised that there would be any of the old one still around in cask. Wonder when this was brewed... ... cask at blue blazer ... dark copper ... much better than i remember it ... nice creamy tan head ...resiny juicy pine hop nose ... wow again ... big big big resiny hop ... soft toffee malt ... but bitter hop resins doominate ... little orange peel .. to overpowering 3.4

TK3 Bottle at home 21-04-10 (bottle bbf 1/1/9 so little past but it is 9%)... side by side with version 2 ... golden yellow light white head ... much lighter colour then v2 ... ovaltine malt ... little blackcurrant ... and grapefruit malt nose ... bitter hop front ... some pine .. some grapefruit ... and a hint of the ovaltine malt that builds ... hop spice in linger 3.3 (leaving rating unchanged due to age) ... poured a little more... wow the hop is much more present when first poured but fades a bit as it sits.

Bottle, Blackfriars, Glasgow. Deep golden colour, solid white head. Sweet and hoppy, where sweetness dominates. Would gain from ageing. At present, t’s just a mish-mash of bold, sweet big-ness.

Hops hops and more hops. for hardened hop head only. reminiscent of the american trend of double IPAs. This would have scored much higher but for a little harsheness and rawness round the edges. Tasted perhaops a bit young. Still a wonderfully progressive and ’hardcore’ beer. amazing flavours with a huge bitter bite

A Mes rate: Bottle at Blackfriars. Attractive amber gold with a slight but stable white head. Lovely peachy hop aroma with some slight amyl nitrate like alcohol. Very hoppy flavour with clear alcohol but in a very tasty way. Peach and grapefruit notes with bags of bite. Bitter finish. Very good.

Draught on Peterborough beer fest staff bar! Hoppy, hoppy and hoppy aroma. Bitter in the mouth - it leaves tire marks on your tongue. Very good, but maybe a little young. Having had all their beers to date, this brewery is the most innovative in Britain and in my opinion is up there with Crouch Vale and Dark Star etc. Consistency is the key from now on.

omhper (15956) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - AUG 30, 2007
Bottled at Blackfriars, Glasgow. Pale amber. Heavy grapefruit aroma. Sweet malt dried out by severe amounts of sweaty grapefruity hops. Dense and caramelly with notes of gooseberries. Resiny very bitter finish. A but aggresive and on the sweet side.

(RBESG 2007, Bottle at Blackfriars, Glasgow) Hazy golden, small head. Fruity, hoppy, grassy aroma. Very bitter, hoppy flavor, grassy, some hay. metal and with citric notes. Huge biter finish.
