Bottle at home - at election night. Clear golden - small white head. Light light malty, high high hoppy, grass, citrus zest, grape, peppermint, perfumed, sweaty. A bit too harsh hoppy - needs some malty sweetness.

boboski (1095) - Alabama, USA - NOV 6, 2007
Pours very, very deep golden with a light amber core, as clear as the cloudless sky tonight. A thin white head forms, remains and is silken in appearance. The aroma is moderately hoppy with a distinct earthen backnote that provides a subtle relaxation with each inhalation. Repeated whiffs reveal scents of herbs, fir trees, rain-drenched grass, heavy spice(vanilla, white pepper), grapefruit pith and loads of sweet grains. Alcohol is only lightly detectable. Mild hints of clove, peach and cassava sneak out. This is very charismatic and as it warms becomes moreso. The aromatic injection wins points both for brazen individuality and an appealing combination of well-blended scents, in a most unorthodox amalgamation. The flavor is very off-the-wall too, earthy malts and spice nearly supplanting moderate bitterness. Sweetness is medium and integrated seemlessly, squashing alcoholic warmth until a backlash appears in the finish. Warmth is quite substantial late, whiskeyish and unforgiving. Caramel barely present, if at all, in the aroma, is full bore in the flavor and sticks out like a sore thumb amongst the herbal and bittered conglomeration. Resiny bitterness sticks in pockets of the mouth and grates the throat, but this is still easy to sip and enjoyable. The finish is signifigantly drying as bitterness and alcohol build. The mouthfeel is medium bodied, softly carbonated but steadily dispersing along the breadth of the palate, spiked with bursts of sharp grainy bitterness and sticky at points between. Very good, incredibly interesting.

Dedollewaitor (13677) - Odense, DENMARK - NOV 6, 2007
Bottle: Clear gold with a off white bubbly head. Strong aroma of hops - piney, flowery, peach, grapefruit & orange. Flavor has warmth & a good amount of bitter hops. Reminds me of something in between Wintercoat Double hop & Mikkellers Hop Juice. Body is light thin - not much malty balance though its also sweet & sticky .Lasting bitter end! Slightly disappointed!

UPDATED: FEB 11, 2008 Bottled (thanks cgarvieuk!). Deep golden colour, not much head. Aroma is bigtime hops, some very diacetyliclike toffee mixed with grass and a bit hay. Flavour is big hops and toffeeish notes. Also some slight spicyness is noted. Seems like the bottle was infected? Goes on my "to-be-re-rated" list. 4 3 4 3 8

Re-rated Feb 2008@Old Anchor, Helsinki. Deep golden colour, with mediumsized white head. Aroma is a lot of fruity and flowery hops along with some mild spicyness. Flavour is quite much fruity and flowery hops along with some mild grass and spices. Well balanced and pleasant, and hides the alcohol well.

Cask @ Crpydon Beer Festival 2007. A very strong hoppy nose with spice and syrup evident. Colour was deep hjoney. Mouthfeel soft with some malt but predominantly hoppy with citrus. A muscat like consistency with an enduring hoppiness.

TBone (12329) - Pori, FINLAND - OCT 8, 2007
Bottled
Amber color, no head. Clover, cold coffee/coffee powder aroma - strange. Attacking sweet-bitter hops, some diacetyl comes up in the finish. Long hoppy bitter aftertaste. Flat. Alcoholic, brandy-like notes. This bottle was infected or this is quite strange IIPA.

Bottled. Slightly hazy golden. Almost no head. Sweet, perfume-ish, fruity aroma and flavour. "Sweaty socks" was a comment from an ipa-rookie...
