This Imperial India Pale Ale Rocks... Hardcore! But don’t feel obliged to take our word for it, this little bottle has a grandiloquent story to tell. 2,204 malted Maris Otter grains gave all they had to offer the world to provide the robustly delicate toffee malt canvas for the ensuing epic. 4 Hop Cones willingly sacrificed themselves in fiery cauldron that is our brew kettle to ensure your mouth is left feeling punished and puckering for more. 9,900,000,000 yeast cells frantically fermented their little hearts out as the sugars were magically turned into alcohol in the dark depths of our fermentation tanks. 2 humans and 1 canine companion are relatively happy with the results
Note this is for the new petrol blue coloured labels with white lettering, which is 9.2%. Ratings for the older bottles with with bright blue label and black lettering should go under the first edition.

Aroma is sweet hops with a hint of grain. Has a fine creamy head and a clear ruby-copper body. Flavour is fruit and candy hops - sweet but not cloying, very tasty. Dry finish. It’s a very nice IPA that stands out in a crowd.

Bottle from Alko, Mikkeli. Pours a very nice clear copper colour with low head. Aroma is fruity (pineapple), hoppy and with hints of resin and forest, maybe caramel. Taste is lemon peel, sweet caramels and malts with fruits. Nice body. Nice beer.

Holy shit, this is a heavy IPA. By far the strongest aromatic IPA I have ever tasted. It pours a dark glass of beer and it has a wild and strong bitter taste. With a toffee like and incredible dark hoppy aroma.

330cc bottle. Pours copper slightly hazy with white off creamy head. Lots of dank, pine, a bit peach, citrus, guava. Nice malt support. Médium mouthfeel, a bit oiley. Very smooth bitterness.

On Nat’l IPA day. Bottle from the Malt Shoppe in Tosa. Amber pour with a bit of an off-orange head. Nose is overlayered citrus and pine. Later down in the glass, lemons and sweeter fruits show through, with pineapple and simple syrup. Taste is of thick citrus, sweet caramel, some tropical fruit, some pineapple and some sprucy pine. Syrupy and chewy. Medium to full bodied with a bit of an alcohol presence. Finishes to the bitter side of bittersweet. Meh. Not as clean as could be, and the flavor blend muddles. 13.8
