This Imperial India Pale Ale Rocks... Hardcore! But don’t feel obliged to take our word for it, this little bottle has a grandiloquent story to tell. 2,204 malted Maris Otter grains gave all they had to offer the world to provide the robustly delicate toffee malt canvas for the ensuing epic. 4 Hop Cones willingly sacrificed themselves in fiery cauldron that is our brew kettle to ensure your mouth is left feeling punished and puckering for more. 9,900,000,000 yeast cells frantically fermented their little hearts out as the sugars were magically turned into alcohol in the dark depths of our fermentation tanks. 2 humans and 1 canine companion are relatively happy with the results
Note this is for the new petrol blue coloured labels with white lettering, which is 9.2%. Ratings for the older bottles with with bright blue label and black lettering should go under the first edition.

Para mim é uma das melhores imperial IPA que existe no mundo. Muito equilibrada apesar do alto teor alcoólico. Excelente.

pityu (294) - Budapest, HUNGARY - OCT 26, 2015
Bottle - Clear deep golden colour, medium off-white head, good retention and lacing. Tons of hop aromas, pine, grapefruit, mango, lemon zest. Taste is sweet first, but the serious bitterness quickly takes over. I think its out of balance but definately on purpose. Light to medium body, average carbonation, dry and seriously bitter finish. Alcohol cant hide. Anyway, its good but out of balance.

330 ml bottle from Systembolaget. Clear light amber / dark golden, thick tanned head, good lacing. Pine aroma with caramel, sweet orange and grapefruit. Medium carbonated, oily rounded mouthfeel. Bitterness comes early in the taste, pleasant pine along with ripe fruit apricot, grapefruit and sweet prominent notes of caramel and toffee. Warming long finish.

hohops (605) - Kent, ENGLAND - OCT 22, 2015
Appearance is amber/orange, a bit hazy, with a half-finger beige head. Aroma- lots of orange, spices, hint of malt, hops, grapefruit, tropical fruit juice. Taste- intense, bitter orange, pineapple, grapefruit, loads of hop bitterness, fruity hop resins, a very long clingy bitter finish. Syrupy slick mouthfeel. Good stuff.

On tap, le šenk. Clear golden orange colour, stable white head. Aroma hops, mostly lemon, zesty, lemongrass, bosquity. Taste is hops, lemon, bisquity maltiness. Bitterness comes forward in the end. Quite high alcohol in taste. Good one.

Avantis90 (10) - Surrey, ENGLAND - OCT 9, 2015
Low foam with a cloudy Amber appearance. Fresh grassy, citrus aroma. The mouth feel of a pale ale rather than a thick sirup. Nice citrus taste with a caramel bitter finish. You know that this is a double IPA without any wine / spirit notes. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

This is a great beer. I was expecting something much more bitter and offensive. This turned to be more subtle and elegant, but I loved it.
