This Imperial India Pale Ale Rocks... Hardcore! But don’t feel obliged to take our word for it, this little bottle has a grandiloquent story to tell. 2,204 malted Maris Otter grains gave all they had to offer the world to provide the robustly delicate toffee malt canvas for the ensuing epic. 4 Hop Cones willingly sacrificed themselves in fiery cauldron that is our brew kettle to ensure your mouth is left feeling punished and puckering for more. 9,900,000,000 yeast cells frantically fermented their little hearts out as the sugars were magically turned into alcohol in the dark depths of our fermentation tanks. 2 humans and 1 canine companion are relatively happy with the results
Note this is for the new petrol blue coloured labels with white lettering, which is 9.2%. Ratings for the older bottles with with bright blue label and black lettering should go under the first edition.

UPDATED: JUL 4, 2016 Small bottle from Steamworks liquor store in Vancouver. An orange amber colored beer with moderate whitish head and a fruity malted nose. A big bitter citrus hop profile is balanced with an equally large malt profile, but the finish is quite bitter. Nice! 4

Appearance: Blush copper in colour, clear with disappearing thin off white foam. Aromas: hops, sweet papaya, and apricots, very refreshing citrus undertones. Palate- slick and oily texture, full bodied Taste- hardcore hops! Definitely packs a punch with a very subtle papaya aftertaste. Overall: highly enjoyable, very impressed for a Tesco buy, Brewdog has set the standard.

Clear deep copper color with small quickly dissapearing slight off white foam. Aromas strong of hops, sweet and fruity with hints of grapefruit, passionfruit and light touch of pine, very solid. Palate, full body with heavy thick but smooth texture, leaving hoppy and slight alcoholic finish. Taste, is bitter sweet of american hops, pine resin, strong grapefruit and touch of sweet passionfruit at the end. Overall, nice! Really enjoyable and strong IPA, well masked alcohol content and good strong body to it, something that I have not had in a while. Would recomend!

UPDATED: MAY 14, 2016 From bottle. Light head. Very beautiful amber/orange color. Strong Orange and citrus smell, sweet feel on tongue and hopy. Definitely Imperial with strong alcoholic flavor. Don?t find it that malty, the mouth is taken by a long lasting astringent feel. A good everyday Imperial IPA

Long lasting head, leaving a lacing. Strong aroma, heavily hopped, spicy and flowery. Bitter and well balanced, some soapy flavors. Full body, drinkable, alcohol well hidden, strong bitter after. One of the best IIPAs.

Warka 29/10/16. W aromacie nafta i egzotyczne owoce. Kiedyś by mi ta nafta przeszkadzała a teraz mnie bawi i satysfakcjonuje. W smaku półwytrawne z potężną i bardzo przyjemną goryczką. Trochę zbyt wodniste, ale... Bardzo dobre piwo.

I do not wax on poetically about beer but I do know the quality of a beer once tasted. This review is not about my tastes but reinforces the numbers, which are arbitrary.

Pours a deep dark orangish amber color. Aromas of big hop action, sweet malts, and more hops. Flavor has some bready maltsy tastes with nice grapefruit and floral hop taste. This is one hoppy sumbitch. These guys sure know what they are doing.
