This Imperial India Pale Ale Rocks... Hardcore! But don’t feel obliged to take our word for it, this little bottle has a grandiloquent story to tell.
2,204 malted Maris Otter grains gave all they had to offer the world to provide the robustly delicate toffee malt canvas for the ensuing epic.
4 Hop Cones willingly sacrificed themselves in fiery cauldron that is our brew kettle to ensure your mouth is left feeling punished and puckering for more.
9,900,000,000 yeast cells frantically fermented their little hearts out as the sugars were magically turned into alcohol in the dark depths of our fermentation tanks.
2 humans and 1 canine companion are relatively happy with the results
Note this is for the new petrol blue coloured labels with white lettering, which is 9.2%. Ratings for the older bottles with with bright blue label and black lettering should go under the first edition.

Mycket vackert bärnstensfärgad med snygg krona av skum. Intrikat doft som domineras av tall. Välbalanserad smak, lite alkoholtung i eftersmaken men beskan är god. På det hela taget en bra representant om man gillar alkoholstark IPA.

On tap at the Rake. Clear dark amber beer. Hoppy snout. Soft palate turning semi dry. Rich rich hops, deep and grassy and spicy. Pine. Subtle sweet pienapple. Marmalade orange and grapefruit. A little lime and citrus. Sumptuous! Finishes smooth and dry and with a lingering bitter aftertaste.

Very hazy orange pour, white head. Aroma is fruity, somewhat sweaty and a bit floral with some grapefruit. Flavor is bitter and very fruity hoppy. A bit yeasty. Nice brew.

Verse une couleur ambrée, le pamplemousse fortes dans l’arôme et le goût, huileux sur le palais et a un arrière-goût d’alcool fort.

The entire kitchen filled with hoppy aroma the second I opened this beer. Pours orange with a small very sticky head. Great burning beer, with hops for days, really well done. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

330ml bottle. Fruit aromas. Pours clear amber, with nice frothy white head, persistent and good lacing. Medium body and average carbonation. Taste is a bit fruity, alcohol noticeable (maybe too much). Not very well balanced. Long warm finish.

330ml bottle (Hell Hunt, Tallinn) Batch -104, BB 04-04-13, Drunk 2012-06
Pours a very bold reddy orange, fairly persistent tight off-white head. Aroma totally packed with hop resins, quite fresh, but quite messy and a little oppressive - like there’s some dodgy chemicals in the glass. Smoooooth palate, soft carbonation, but alas that becomes slicker and stickier later. Big sweet malty base, but totally slathered in resiny hops. Less messy in the taste, the caramel toffee and treacle provide a soft cushion that the hops simply and safely bounce you against. Perhaps a little too sweet, but just within acceptable bounds. Some zesty orange makes it almost cakey. Hops are a little directionless, not giving any clear details, it’s basically all over the place. However, the up-side of that is that there’s a fair bittering component which leaves you with a nice bitter finish. Way less of a trainwreck than the first version - could it be that those crazy Scots are finally actually learning to brew pale ales? The IPA is dead series corroborates that progress.
