This Imperial India Pale Ale Rocks... Hardcore! But don’t feel obliged to take our word for it, this little bottle has a grandiloquent story to tell. 2,204 malted Maris Otter grains gave all they had to offer the world to provide the robustly delicate toffee malt canvas for the ensuing epic. 4 Hop Cones willingly sacrificed themselves in fiery cauldron that is our brew kettle to ensure your mouth is left feeling punished and puckering for more. 9,900,000,000 yeast cells frantically fermented their little hearts out as the sugars were magically turned into alcohol in the dark depths of our fermentation tanks. 2 humans and 1 canine companion are relatively happy with the results
Note this is for the new petrol blue coloured labels with white lettering, which is 9.2%. Ratings for the older bottles with with bright blue label and black lettering should go under the first edition.

Pours cloudy brown with a thick light tan head. Aroma is pine, caramel and slightly "chocolatey" malts. A beautiful carob-chocolate-malt flavor comes through immediately combined with some caramel sweetness. The flavors mellow into a pleasingly mild bitterness when the hops finally emerge in the finish. The 9.2% ABV is well hidden. Absolutely beautiful double IPA.

330ml bottle (Tesco Finest American Double IPA). Dark amber orange colour, good initial foamy off-white head, hoppy fruity aroma. Hits with immediate dry bitterness, very hoppy and sharp, taste of pine & grapefruit, oily, warm mouth feel with lingering bitterness and alittle sweetness. Quite drinkable.

On tap at KØ-10. A more or less clear beer, dark golden in color and with a small off-white to beige head on top. The aroma is fruity and resiny, with a good dash of caramel sweetness. Sweet, caramel-like flavor with resins and some dried fruits. Full-bodied, almost sticky. A nice beer, but too sweet for my likings. Will definately try this one again in a non-festival setting. Rating: 6-4-6-4-12-3.3. 100506

Bottle. A dense, light beige head sits on top of a clear, amber colored body. The aroms is quite hoppy, with peaches and a generic tropical fruityness. Resins too. It’s lighlty warming on the palate, full-bodied and with a pleasant level of carbonation. Green pine cones, bitterness, grapefruit and sweetish maltyness in the flavor. Lasting bitterness in the end. A quite pleasant one, nothing more. 121109
