Ingredients: Maris Otter, Crystal malt, Caramalt; Centennial, Columbus, Simcoe hops. Dry Hops: Centennial, Columbus, Simcoe. IBU 150
This little bottle has a grandiloquent story to tell. 2,204 malted Maris Otter grains gave all they had to offer the world to provide the robustly delicate toffee malt canvas for the ensuing epic. 6 Hop Cones willingly sacrificed themselves in fiery cauldron that is our brew kettle to ensure your mouth is left feeling punished and puckering for more. 9,900,000,000 yeast cells frantically fermented their little hearts out as the sugars were magically turned into alcohol in the dark depths of our fermentation tanks. This explicit ale has more hops and bitterness that any other beer brewed in the UK. This is an extreme beer rollercoaster for freaks, gypsies and international chess superstars.

Note this is for the new petrol blue coloured labels with white lettering, which is 9.2%. Ratings for the older bottles with with bright blue label and black lettering should go under the first edition.

Aroma of caramel malt, fruity hops, toffee and figs. Taste is caramel malt with a rich hop aroma and bitterness. In the finish the taste and bitterness from the alcohol is prominenet. Probably a good DIPA, but to liquor flavored and caramel malty for my taste!

11.2 oz. bottle. Pours a dark, hazy orange with a medium beige head and a little lacing. The aroma is citrus and earthy hops, grain, and bread. The flavor is sweet and malty up front, with a serious bitterness in the end. The palate is heavy, sticky, and grainy, with only a little carbonation. The finish is long and bitter, but not overbearingly so. Overall, a straightforward and powerful IPA, well balanced and delicious.

33 cl bottle from Systembolaget. Cloudy, deep amber liquid with medium off-white head. Hoppy aroma with notes of citrus, grapefruit, pine, tropical fruits and caramel malt. Taste is highly bitter with a nice malty base. Light sweetness. Medium bodied with OK carbonation. Overall, well performed DIPA at a great price.

Keg at The Brewdog Bar, Edinburgh with cgarvieuk and Benjii. Amber with sligh white head. Initially quite a perfumed beer, there is a caramel, malty background, not quite as dry as I would expect, then a heavily hopped mix of flavours, maybe a little confusing, ranging between an earthy note through to the full citric. Overall, pretty decent, just a bit wild.

Draught at Mikkeller Bar, Copenhagen
Hazy red-amber color; creamy head. Aroma of fruity hops, dust, soil, lightly earthy, cheesy. Correct body strength; strong caramel flavor, and strong resiny hops, with light fruity component.
The final is bold, but also a bit earthy and dusty.
Tasted side to side with the "I Hardcore You", this one seems to be the one that brings the original beer element to the mix.

Batch 225, Best Before 18-8-2011. Oh my... a fresh bottle from BrewDog?! I don’t know what to do!! Dark orange color with a large head. Strong caramel aroma with piles of citrus and floral hits. Bracing bitterness. Big caramel and biscuit malt flavor. The hops drift towards floral and earthy spiciness. Very fine.

Bottle of Tesco’s Finest* American Double IPA. Pours a red-orange colour with a decent white head. Aroma of tropical fruits and bubblegum. Flavours of banana, mango and orange rind. Very resinous oily mouthfeel, Some alcohol hum but very well masked given the abv. Nicely bitter with a bitter linger also. A bargain for £1.99!
