This Imperial India Pale Ale Rocks... Hardcore! But don’t feel obliged to take our word for it, this little bottle has a grandiloquent story to tell. 2,204 malted Maris Otter grains gave all they had to offer the world to provide the robustly delicate toffee malt canvas for the ensuing epic. 4 Hop Cones willingly sacrificed themselves in fiery cauldron that is our brew kettle to ensure your mouth is left feeling punished and puckering for more. 9,900,000,000 yeast cells frantically fermented their little hearts out as the sugars were magically turned into alcohol in the dark depths of our fermentation tanks. 2 humans and 1 canine companion are relatively happy with the results
Note this is for the new petrol blue coloured labels with white lettering, which is 9.2%. Ratings for the older bottles with with bright blue label and black lettering should go under the first edition.

Bottle 330 ml, BBE 15.05.2013, batch # 912. Pours slightly cloudy dark goldenorange in color with an off white head. Pine, forrest, some sticky sweetness, malts and tropical fruityness in aroma. Lovely. Tropical fruityness in taste with some grassy bitterness and hints of that parfume/soap house flavor. Pine and more grassy bitterness in aftertaste. Feels quite heavy this time, but yet is smooth and no sign of the alcohol. Slightly sweet and pine mixed grassy bitter finish.

11.2 oz bottle pours a slightly hazy dark amber with small white head and some lacing. Smell is full of tropical fruit, caramel and alcohol. Aroma is similar with plenty of citrus and floral hops. Taste is sweet caramel at first before the citrus hops exploding in the bitter finish. Body is medium to full with slight carbonation. A special treat.

Bottle. Clear copper colour, healthy head. Complex citrussy nose as well as as caramel. Intense bitterness, but nicely balanced. A great beer, no doubt.

Kjøpt på polet i vika under navnet "hard høst ipa". Mørk rød farge, nesten ikke skum, en frisk iPa med smak av humle, jord, løv, hint av karamell. Liker den veldig godt

Pours cloudy brown with a thick light tan head. Aroma is pine, caramel and slightly "chocolatey" malts. A beautiful carob-chocolate-malt flavor comes through immediately combined with some caramel sweetness. The flavors mellow into a pleasingly mild bitterness when the hops finally emerge in the finish. The 9.2% ABV is well hidden. Absolutely beautiful double IPA.
