This Imperial India Pale Ale Rocks... Hardcore! But don’t feel obliged to take our word for it, this little bottle has a grandiloquent story to tell. 2,204 malted Maris Otter grains gave all they had to offer the world to provide the robustly delicate toffee malt canvas for the ensuing epic. 4 Hop Cones willingly sacrificed themselves in fiery cauldron that is our brew kettle to ensure your mouth is left feeling punished and puckering for more. 9,900,000,000 yeast cells frantically fermented their little hearts out as the sugars were magically turned into alcohol in the dark depths of our fermentation tanks. 2 humans and 1 canine companion are relatively happy with the results
Note this is for the new petrol blue coloured labels with white lettering, which is 9.2%. Ratings for the older bottles with with bright blue label and black lettering should go under the first edition.

Nephilium (1487) - Ohio, USA - OCT 18, 2012
This starts of with an aroma of caramel, pine, and a touch of alcohol. Pours a slightly cloudy amber, with a huge white head. The flavor is a very bold bitter taste, with very little sweetness coming through. Long lingering bitter finish. Very big and over the top hops, with very little balance. Not bad, but not as good as some of the other IIPA’s out there.

Pours murky, dark amber with a short head. Decent lace. Caramel malt and and earthy, resiny hop nose. Same type of palate. A little fruit, toffee, and dough as well. Med-full body, thick texture, good carbonation, and a long heavy, bitter finish. Malt forward, yet hoppy. Very well done.

The brewdog regulars are getting worse day by day, however good quality and price balance.

Aroma is pine, spices and mildly sweet/nutty malts. The flavor is citrus, grapefruit, mildly nutty malts and a tart/fruit finish.

VERY, very "hardcore". Has a stronger and smokier taste. Prefer the Brew Dog Punk more, but everyone I know loves this because of how smooth it is.

UPDATED: NOV 8, 2012 Klar, bärnstens färgad. Fint färgat skum som stannar kvar lagom länge. Doftar russin, fikon, humle och mossa. Smakar barr, banan, sött rågbröd och fikon.

UPDATED: NOV 17, 2012 Copper brew with a thin head and a really potent hop aroma (hooray!). Taste is light caramel with hops taking up the flavor. Spicy hops varietal. Overall a pretty intense beer that I am glad to have tasted at least once.

Idiosynkrasie (4819) - Bielefeld, GERMANY - OCT 11, 2012
330ml bottle. Clear amber colour with average, firm, frothy, minimally lacing, off-white head. Heavy piney aroma with a touch of honey, lemon zest. Taste is minimally sweet caramel malty, pine, resin, a touch of citrus, but mainly really bitter hoppy; minimally biting bitter hoppy finish. Very drinkable, almost light, for its high abv.

Sampled from the bottle. Amber with a medium off-white head; aroma of pine and zesty citrus with just a modest whiff of alcohol; firm-bodied, assertive citric bitterness; quite drinkable for its high abv with a lingering tingling finish
