This Imperial India Pale Ale Rocks... Hardcore! But don’t feel obliged to take our word for it, this little bottle has a grandiloquent story to tell. 2,204 malted Maris Otter grains gave all they had to offer the world to provide the robustly delicate toffee malt canvas for the ensuing epic. 4 Hop Cones willingly sacrificed themselves in fiery cauldron that is our brew kettle to ensure your mouth is left feeling punished and puckering for more. 9,900,000,000 yeast cells frantically fermented their little hearts out as the sugars were magically turned into alcohol in the dark depths of our fermentation tanks. 2 humans and 1 canine companion are relatively happy with the results
Note this is for the new petrol blue coloured labels with white lettering, which is 9.2%. Ratings for the older bottles with with bright blue label and black lettering should go under the first edition.

Bottle - 330ml. Hazy amber body with a thin off-white creamy head. Fresh hoppy aroma with flowery, fruity, and caramel hints. Its sharp, robust taste carries woody and fruity notes. Alcohol is well hidden. Ends with a long, moderately warming, bitter finish. Excellent DIPA.

Thought I’ve tried this, but no. Had it as a "Hard høst", the norwegian version. Victim of a deceptive advertisment! Pours a see-through redish brown colour with a soapy white head. the aroma aren’t that much present as I’d hope for. Peach and oak are most present. Flavour consists raisins, leaves and also some woody notes. Very bitter aftertaste. I like my India Pale Ales with a bit lesser body and some more refreshness. This beer should have more aroma hops to balance the malts and the bitter hops in my opinion. A quite good beer, but there are a lot of thing that could have been better here to be honest.

Great beer. Aroma of jungle and northern european rainy wet forest ground. The bitterness i chill and perfectly balanced, despite 150IBU.

33cl bottle. Orangish colour with a nice formation of an off-white head, good lasting. Aroma is hoppy, fresh, some citrus and resins notes. Flavor has a decent bitterness with a good duration in the mouth, resins and pine hints, orange and citrus notes. The final has a moderate bitterness. Carbonation and body are medium. Not too much bittery for a DIPA.

Brewed on February of 2012. Found this lurking around the cellar. OOPS. Enjoyed in a taster. Nice clarity, bronze with minimal head. Nose is full of pine and a hint of cheese. Caramel, sweet peppery and astringent. Hints of cloves, oranges and pine cones.

Bottle 330 ml, BBE 15.05.2013, batch # 912. Pours slightly cloudy dark goldenorange in color with an off white head. Pine, forrest, some sticky sweetness, malts and tropical fruityness in aroma. Lovely. Tropical fruityness in taste with some grassy bitterness and hints of that parfume/soap house flavor. Pine and more grassy bitterness in aftertaste. Feels quite heavy this time, but yet is smooth and no sign of the alcohol. Slightly sweet and pine mixed grassy bitter finish.

11.2 oz bottle pours a slightly hazy dark amber with small white head and some lacing. Smell is full of tropical fruit, caramel and alcohol. Aroma is similar with plenty of citrus and floral hops. Taste is sweet caramel at first before the citrus hops exploding in the bitter finish. Body is medium to full with slight carbonation. A special treat.
