This Imperial India Pale Ale Rocks... Hardcore! But don’t feel obliged to take our word for it, this little bottle has a grandiloquent story to tell.
2,204 malted Maris Otter grains gave all they had to offer the world to provide the robustly delicate toffee malt canvas for the ensuing epic.
4 Hop Cones willingly sacrificed themselves in fiery cauldron that is our brew kettle to ensure your mouth is left feeling punished and puckering for more.
9,900,000,000 yeast cells frantically fermented their little hearts out as the sugars were magically turned into alcohol in the dark depths of our fermentation tanks.
2 humans and 1 canine companion are relatively happy with the results
Note this is for the new petrol blue coloured labels with white lettering, which is 9.2%. Ratings for the older bottles with with bright blue label and black lettering should go under the first edition.

Tap at Bishops Arms, Cph: A hazy orange to amber colored beer with an off-white head. The aroma is herbal and fruity hoppy with strong notes notes of over ripe fruits, grapefruit, mangoes, mandarin, alcohol and caramel-malts. Taste is bitter sweet. Oily mouthfeel, full frontal attack on all senses. Very long fruity-bitter finish.

From notes: Poured hazy orange-amber with a thick, light tan head that left moderate lacing on the glass. Aroma was of citrusy and piney hops. Medium-bodied, with a slight thickness. Flavor strongly of citrus hops, with perhaps some pine notes as well. Straightforward hoppy IPA done well.

Batch 333?, 9.2%, Croatian November ’11 RB tasting, Ogi’s (SLO importer).
Poured a murky soft dark amber body with a medium sized off white head. Slightly salty malty nose, sweet aroma hopiness. Light sweetish background, honeyish, on which a nice aroma hop presence is built. Citric acid, soft, slightly stale (but not too much), ashy bitterness in the finish. Not bad, light for the ABV... hmmm.

Pines and hops are present in the aroma followed by citrus and orange. Appearance is a dark amber with a fat foam top. Taste is huge citrus and herby hops with a light spice finish. There is a pleasant bitterness with the taste of this beer. Overall, this is a full-bodied beer with a ton of big flavor. If you’re looking for a massive brew with greatly balanced and complex flavors, this is it. I’d give this an A rating.

Pour amber, with a big white head. A little citrussy, a little grassy. A little bit of this, a little bit of that. Well hoppy. Semi-medium body, with quite a lot of CO2.

UPDATED: NOV 17, 2011 0,33l bottle from Csakajósör, Budapest. Nice amber orange clear appearance with frothy head. Resin, citrus, floral, alcohol aroma. In its taste I feel the sweetness of the malt and the heavy bitterness of the hops. It’s really hoppy... Full body. Oily sticky texture and soft carbonation. Bitter, 150 IBU finish...:) I feel the perfect harmony of the palate and the aroma. It’s characteristically hoppy and strong. It’s balanced, so it’s not too alcoholic, and not too bitter. I can only feel the deep impession of this imperial IPA. It’s perfect.

deep caramel hue. thick, viscous gravity seen as the ead recedes and forms in the glass. caramel, toffee, bread, and slightly toasty flavors. huge pine/resin aromas with a moderate mouthy bitterness. malt profile is thick, so the hops are perceived less.
