This Imperial India Pale Ale Rocks... Hardcore! But don’t feel obliged to take our word for it, this little bottle has a grandiloquent story to tell.
2,204 malted Maris Otter grains gave all they had to offer the world to provide the robustly delicate toffee malt canvas for the ensuing epic.
4 Hop Cones willingly sacrificed themselves in fiery cauldron that is our brew kettle to ensure your mouth is left feeling punished and puckering for more.
9,900,000,000 yeast cells frantically fermented their little hearts out as the sugars were magically turned into alcohol in the dark depths of our fermentation tanks.
2 humans and 1 canine companion are relatively happy with the results
Note this is for the new petrol blue coloured labels with white lettering, which is 9.2%. Ratings for the older bottles with with bright blue label and black lettering should go under the first edition.

3/5 i mörkhet. Väldigt humlig i doften. Humlig, söt och besk i smaken med en liknande eftersmak.

This one has me excited. Bought a a Tesco, which seems wrong when talking of good beer, but lets not be snobs. A - Strong malt, with incredible amounts of citrus A - Bright orange with thin white head T - A touch sour, which is overtaken by strong bitter and alcohol P - Full to medium and a touch on the sharp side O - This is a great beer, not the best North American IPA, but a really good representation

From the bottle it poured a golden orange of decent thickness. Hops dominate the flavor; malt dominates the smell. Somewhat fruity and very smooth for 9.2%. Bitter.

Sampled as Tesco Finest American Double IPA. The aroma practically climbs out of the bottle. This is "Punks" older wiser cooler big brother. Delicious balance of alcohol, fruitiness and creaminess. Sip it reflectively, it’s quietly effective and will put your world into perspective

THOUGHTS: Wow. That was a lot of hops. I was surprised by all the hops after being able to smell all the malt from a couple feet away. Very well balanced. Just packed with flavor and aroma. Hid alcohol incredibly well. So sweet and bitter. I would definitely drink this again. I usually don’t like resinous hops that much, but it worked well here because of all the malt to balance things out. TECHNICAL: Bottle. Poured a light, orangey brown with reddish-amber highlights and an average, off-white head that mostly diminished but left excellent lacing. The aroma had moderate to heavy caramel, molasses and burnt caramel malts; heavy resinous hops;slightly lighter pine hops and lighter floral hops; and slight toffee. The initial flavor was moderate to heavily sweet and moderately bitter; while the finish was heavily sweet, heavily bitter and slightly sour with a long duration. There was caramel, brown sugar, molasses, toffee, pine, resin hops, some citrus hops, maple syrup, burnt caramel and sour orange. The medium to full body was oily with rather fizzy carbonation and a lightly dry finish.

Pours copper red with a beige yellow medium long lasting head. Aroma of malty caramel, pine citrus and flowers. Loads of pine and citrus in flavor with an intense but yet mellowing bitterness. Oily thick body. Excellent!
