This Imperial India Pale Ale Rocks... Hardcore! But don’t feel obliged to take our word for it, this little bottle has a grandiloquent story to tell.
2,204 malted Maris Otter grains gave all they had to offer the world to provide the robustly delicate toffee malt canvas for the ensuing epic.
4 Hop Cones willingly sacrificed themselves in fiery cauldron that is our brew kettle to ensure your mouth is left feeling punished and puckering for more.
9,900,000,000 yeast cells frantically fermented their little hearts out as the sugars were magically turned into alcohol in the dark depths of our fermentation tanks.
2 humans and 1 canine companion are relatively happy with the results
Note this is for the new petrol blue coloured labels with white lettering, which is 9.2%. Ratings for the older bottles with with bright blue label and black lettering should go under the first edition.

Bottle pours a clear copper colour with a glint of emerald not a lot of head and ephemeral. Powerful complex aroma hops and sweet malts. Taste of metallic astringency with a bitter finish leaves mass of floral hops, toasted caramel at a guess. Is it a bit OTT, or pushing the limits? I’d give it a go!

Smell of hops and citrus. Copper colour, light brown head. Highly bitter, also some sweetness in aftertaste. Strong aroma of hops, some orange peel. Some tobacco also. Aftertaste bitter and sour. Excellent stuff.

UPDATED: JAN 21, 2013 Clear deep amber with a thick, lasting, thick, sticky, lacy head. Smells of heavy hops, citrus - orange, grapefruit., cream, chocolate, toasted malt and caramel Medium oily body with soft carbonation. Taste of sweet malt, caramel with a lot of heavy hops - finishes citrusy and slightly sour. Smooth and absolutely drinkable. Unfortunately, this batch tastes different than the last one I tried which was much better.

Medium amber, slightly hazy body, with an off-white head that eventually reduces to a fully lasting layer and foamy residue clinging to the glass. The aroma is very strong, complex and lovely! Sweet ripe fruits, especially fruits from the tropics: I get most of all mango, but also peach, pineapple and melon. Strong resinous hoppy notes, faint caramel and a quite obvious vinous feel. Moderate sweet taste and an extraordinary bitter finish. A very long-lasting, prickling, mouth numbing bitter alcoholic finish, simply stunning! A bit too much in the beginning, but after some sips I really enjoy this violent brew. Fruity flavours with lots of resin, backed up by sweet caramel. Lovely mouthfeel, although a bit rough, medium to full body, oily to syrupy texture, soft carbonation and a very obvious alcoholic finish. A lovely beer!

Orangey amber colour with a small off white head. Delicious fruity nose. Pine, orange and passionfruit all come through. Taste is very bitter, with lots of fruit accompaninment. Theres not a huge malty element to this one but it nonetheless feels well-balanced.

On tap, BrewDog Edinburgh. A fantastic imperial IPA. Strong pine and citrus aroma, hoppy, grassy and a little spicy. Great orange colour. A top beer.

Mycket vackert bärnstensfärgad med snygg krona av skum. Intrikat doft som domineras av tall. Välbalanserad smak, lite alkoholtung i eftersmaken men beskan är god. På det hela taget en bra representant om man gillar alkoholstark IPA.
