This Imperial India Pale Ale Rocks... Hardcore! But don’t feel obliged to take our word for it, this little bottle has a grandiloquent story to tell. 2,204 malted Maris Otter grains gave all they had to offer the world to provide the robustly delicate toffee malt canvas for the ensuing epic. 4 Hop Cones willingly sacrificed themselves in fiery cauldron that is our brew kettle to ensure your mouth is left feeling punished and puckering for more. 9,900,000,000 yeast cells frantically fermented their little hearts out as the sugars were magically turned into alcohol in the dark depths of our fermentation tanks. 2 humans and 1 canine companion are relatively happy with the results
Note this is for the new petrol blue coloured labels with white lettering, which is 9.2%. Ratings for the older bottles with with bright blue label and black lettering should go under the first edition.

Slightly funky, oakey aroma. Pours with light head, muddy orange. Velvety caramel with prickly edge, nicely balanced. Soft on palate, with a good hint of upper mouth/nasal spice. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours hazy brown with thick soapy white head. Spotty lacing. Aromas are balanced heavily on the sweet side for a DIPA. Taste is sweet caramel, grassy, with an oily dough flavor as well. Reminds me more of an American Barleywine.

Colour: Orange Amber with a fine head. Nose: Fruity, fragrant (citrus, blood orange), floral with a yeasty sweetness Flavours: Mango sweet start, classic IPA bitterness with a strong hop flavour. Intense and indeed hardcore. Finish: Bitter, alcoholic and slightly medicinal. Verdict: Nice, but not quite great in comparision to Raging Bitch. But to be honest, IPA still isn’t my favourite style.

It smells like a fruity pool, tempting you do dive in. Once you taste it you want more. It tastes more like a mead.

Aroma of malt and mild hops. Apperance is crystal clear caramel. Taste caramel, alcohol, vanilla, sweet. Nice sweet, mild hops and alcohol finish. Body is medium. Overall: Probably one of the best iipa i have tried! Great use of hops!

Smells like a barley wine, golden blonde appearance, wouldn’t call this an outstanding ale, nothing to go out of your way to get.

UPDATED: SEP 4, 2014 I first tried to spare a couple of years ago when i first started to get into craft beer. Back then it was a shock to the system, I rated it 1-3-4-3-(8). Now after trying many craft beers it is time to give it another go. The aroma is amazing fresh hops, citrus, lime, and tropical fruits. It’s a beautiful colour in a glass very little carbonation the whay there is a spot on. A gorgeous sharp bitter taste, sweet and well balanced. Not easy to drink, but just right. A sipper. A real bargain at £1.99 per bottle.
