This Imperial India Pale Ale Rocks... Hardcore! But don’t feel obliged to take our word for it, this little bottle has a grandiloquent story to tell.
2,204 malted Maris Otter grains gave all they had to offer the world to provide the robustly delicate toffee malt canvas for the ensuing epic.
4 Hop Cones willingly sacrificed themselves in fiery cauldron that is our brew kettle to ensure your mouth is left feeling punished and puckering for more.
9,900,000,000 yeast cells frantically fermented their little hearts out as the sugars were magically turned into alcohol in the dark depths of our fermentation tanks.
2 humans and 1 canine companion are relatively happy with the results
Note this is for the new petrol blue coloured labels with white lettering, which is 9.2%. Ratings for the older bottles with with bright blue label and black lettering should go under the first edition.

Pours a hazy cloudy orange-amber, with a medium beige head, fine clinging lacing. Thick aroma of bread, grass, grapefruit, toffee, with some berry, floral and spicy notes, very malty. Full body, crisp, smooth and velvety, dry. Medium initial sweetness, short citrus tartness midpalate with some alcohol hotness, then a medium bitter lingering finish. A mighty brew.

The aroma is a lovely mix of bread, caramel, citrus hops, fruit. The appearance is the common amber, white head. The flavor is a lot like the aroma, bread, caramel, fruit, citrs, light pine. Certainly a malt forward beer. Medium to medium thick in body, sticky mouthfeel. Nice finish of citrus and pine hops, lingering. A bit overhyped and overpriced, but an excellent beer.

Had this the last day before the BBD. Hazy amber. The aroma is honeyed and florals with tropical fruit accents. Pretty rich, chewy caramel stuf with light lychee-type hop notes. Ok, for style.

On tap at petrol station. Pours a hazy deep orange amber w a caramel brown head that dissipates slowly and laces slightly. Aroma is full of pine hops matched by a sweet bread and caramel note. Sweet grains and caramel with a strong pine hop note. Quite sticky.

Incredibly big hop aroma. Wasn’t picking up anything else besides alcohol strength. Interesting try, but for my palate it was too much.

Bottle. Pours hazy copper/orange with a medium, frothy off-white head, medium retention with good lacing. Aroma is heavy floral, citrus, and fruity hops, medium cereal and meal malt with moderate fruity esters of apricot and pear. Some alcohol aromas peak in late. Flavor is heavy hops and moderate bitterness with nicely supportive malt and a slight alcohol, dry finish. Full body, high warmth, and moderate carbonation.

{thoughts} Flavor is unfortunately numbing but still very good; heady aroma of sweets and fruits.

{elements} Rich, clear, orange-red hue; off-white cream. Huge caramel and peach aroma with orange peel and something odd like wet dog. Medium-full sweetness, light acidity, medium-full bitterness; slight numbing alcohol sensation, menthol; big sugar and fruit flavors match the aroma. Medium-full body, oily texture, light carbonation. 33 cl bottle, bbe 18-06-12.

Beautiful, redbrown beer wtih a medium and beige head. Very temptating aroma flows into the nose, tropical fruits, peaches, passionfruits, fructose and pine needles, overally tropical fruity aroma; very great and temptating aroma. Taste is also tropical fruity, lots of sweet fruits, peaches, some grapefruity sourness and pine needles. Taste is quite sweet but in the end the piney and resiny bitterness wins and long, dry aftertaste stays in the mouth, still some sweetness are left. Full bodied, slippery and pleasant to drink. Very enjoyable, even there are lots of sweetness, still balanced because of strong bitterness; just pleasure.
