Ingredients: Maris Otter, Crystal malt, Caramalt; Centennial, Columbus, Simcoe hops. Dry Hops: Centennial, Columbus, Simcoe. IBU 150
This little bottle has a grandiloquent story to tell. 2,204 malted Maris Otter grains gave all they had to offer the world to provide the robustly delicate toffee malt canvas for the ensuing epic. 6 Hop Cones willingly sacrificed themselves in fiery cauldron that is our brew kettle to ensure your mouth is left feeling punished and puckering for more. 9,900,000,000 yeast cells frantically fermented their little hearts out as the sugars were magically turned into alcohol in the dark depths of our fermentation tanks. This explicit ale has more hops and bitterness that any other beer brewed in the UK. This is an extreme beer rollercoaster for freaks, gypsies and international chess superstars.

Note this is for the new petrol blue coloured labels with white lettering, which is 9.2%. Ratings for the older bottles with with bright blue label and black lettering should go under the first edition.

From the wooden cask at the Fat Cat in Norwich: Very interesting beer, i loved it. It has everything you want in a 9.2% beer. A bitter yet sweet taste, awesome aroma.

Bottle from Shortys Liquor. Pours a dark orange with a large off white head. Aroma is full on piney hops, plenty of grapefruit as well.

Deep hazy amber pour with a thick moussey head. The aroma is very herbal and resinous with a lot of bright, UK the malts. Resin and a lot of heavy earthy spice on the nose. Fairly sweet MO malt on the base providing a touch of sweet aroma behind the heavy hops. Palate is much sweeter than the aroma would have suggested to me initially. Moderate sweetness through the middle before a long herbal bitterness on the finish. There is a little bit of light floral flavour as it warms up, but the beer is decently balanced. Assertive hoppiness - moreso than in the 1st iteration.

Bottle. Huge, hoppy nose, lots of flowers, tropical fruits, passionfruit, apricots, grapefruit, pine resin. Off-dry, full bodied, almost thick, high bitterness. Very rich, overtly hoppy, fruity taste, lots of resin, grapefruit, dried fruits, tropical fruits, spices. (2010-12-07)

Nice IPA! Grapefruit dominates most of the idea, alcohol is well masked.

UPDATED: OCT 9, 2011 This time - appearance less, the rest is more of the same. This is still too extreme and it would need to be an extremely hot day for me to look forward to this. Previous rating 29/03/11 7/5/6/2/12 = 3.2 33cl bottle. Pours a reddish-amber, some delicate bubbles and a nice head. The nose is pine. The taste is more pine and grapefruit pith. The palate has a good enough structure, good texture but the finish is exremely astringent. Overall, it looks great, it’s aroma-intensive but I couldn’t drink many more than one.

Orlando, Fl - Whole Foods Market - 22.4 oz bomber. Murky dark orange pour, with a thick frothy creamy head that leaves luxurious lacing. Strong fresh spruce aroma with some hoppy cat urine accents. Full bodied IPA with a strong hoppy grapefruit presence. Solid malty backend with plenty of syrupy maltly goodness. Thick, rich mouthfeeel. Very solid,

Brewdog Hardcore IPA löytyi Kokkolan Oluthuone Huismannista. Tätä tuli jo edellisellä visiitillä maistettua ja todettua erittäin päteväksi olueksi. Olut on punertavaa ja tuoksahtaa havuille, pihkalle ja eksoottisen hedelmäiselle. Maultaan olut on havuinen ja hedelmäinen. Jälkimaku on hyvin pitkä ja katkera. Mainio esitys mainiolta panimolta.
