This Imperial India Pale Ale Rocks... Hardcore! But don’t feel obliged to take our word for it, this little bottle has a grandiloquent story to tell. 2,204 malted Maris Otter grains gave all they had to offer the world to provide the robustly delicate toffee malt canvas for the ensuing epic. 4 Hop Cones willingly sacrificed themselves in fiery cauldron that is our brew kettle to ensure your mouth is left feeling punished and puckering for more. 9,900,000,000 yeast cells frantically fermented their little hearts out as the sugars were magically turned into alcohol in the dark depths of our fermentation tanks. 2 humans and 1 canine companion are relatively happy with the results
Note this is for the new petrol blue coloured labels with white lettering, which is 9.2%. Ratings for the older bottles with with bright blue label and black lettering should go under the first edition.

Very solid double IPA. Aroma of toffee, fruity hops, and pine. Hazy, reddish orange color. Flavor is rich and sweet. Alcohol warms going down. Finish is slight lingering bitter.

Keg @ The White Horse. The pour’s a deep, slightly hazy burnt orange color. Massive white head. The nose is caramelized sugar, huge resin and tree bark. Coniferous forest. Light orange peel, modest citrus. Big, ballsy DIPA nose. The taste is strong orange, wood. Plenty of spruce, northwest hops. Gritty, earthy bitterness. Robust malt backbone. Sugary caramel-dipped orange. Quite bitter on the finish. Full body, sharp mouthfeel. Overall, Hardcore’s a good beer, one of Brewdog’s best. Quite sweet, but tasty.

Bottle. Orange-copper, lightly hazy. Nose has tropical hops, pines and citrus. Thick caramel and a bit of dried fruits. Body is thickish, soft. Well bittered. Dried fruits, pine and thick caramel. Good IIPA.

My favorite beer from Brewdog. Hops everywhere with enough malt to back it up. Very much of everything. Just the way I like it. Loads of american malts and malt without being to sweet. A nice beer to finish the evening with.

Bottle. Orange golden color. Pineapple, grapefruit, peach and oily hops in the aroma. Oily earthy citric hops and tropical fruit and plastic in the flavor. Lovely aroma, powerful beer.

Kaatuu lasiin samean ruskeanoranssina ja semi-kestävällä vaahdolla. Hajussa on puumaista humalaa, trooppista hedelmää ja lievää mansikkaisuutta. Maku on vahvan hedelmäinen (kuivattua hedelmää), hieman humalainen ja tunkkainen. Suutuntuma on ohuen ja keskitäyteläisen väliltä. kokonaisuutena hyvä tupla-IPA, jonka tunkkaisuus hieman häiritsee.

330 bottle poured into tulip. Pours a nice amber with a minimal head. Aroma is of dried grapes, "tobacco" (?!?), toffee/caramel, herbal/floral hops. Taste is one of the nicest balance between bitter and sugary that I’ve witnessed in a double IPA! Mouthfeel is really nice and smooth with low carbonation. Bitter aftertaste lingers for quite a while, and "post-taste" could easily be felt after even 15mins...! My first Brewdog, I have to confess I’m utterly impressed! Overall: outstanding but this almost like a mix between a double ipa and a scotch ale! Very well done!

Picked up at T’s in Tempe and this 33cl 9.2% elixir pours out with a murky deep copper body that supports a modest light tan colored head of foam. The aroma offers up a moderate degree of pine hops and sweet citrus hard candy that cover up a faint maltiness and yeast. The taste is rich and it is running from candied tree sap and mineral notes, interesting, to malt sweetened grapefruit and slight earthy lime. Nice rich stuff where the hop bitterness is firm but somewhat blunted too.

Much more barley-wineish than DIPA. Carmel colored with a sweet toasted carmel nose, hints of light fruit - pear maybe? Strong malt and alcohol flavors with more of that surprising fruitiness - pineapple? Impressive bitter finish lingers. I expected more hop aroma, but I’m not at all disappointed. I’d just call it a barley wine instead.

This is a very good IPA- and its surprising for it to come from Scotland. There is a tart-hoppy scent. The grapefruit hops are good and the bitterness is managed while there exists a somewhat earthy tone. The color is a nice light brown & orange. The head is of a white healthy creamy character then eventually disappears. Very nice flavor balances the high ABV. 9.2 BD
