4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
UPDATED: DEC 14, 2011 OK, Iím afraid Iím kind of guessing these ratings a little bit. But I do have some notes... Had this a couple of times now. Once with a Burrito, it was a good match. Rather sweet opening, almost like syrup. Very spicy, hoppy, full body. Lots of fruit bouncing around too. Very nice.
Re-rate: keg at BrewDog. Fresh, pungent pine and fruit nose. Spicy, bitter, fruity & hoppy with decent carbonation. Massive resinous hops but strong caramel malt backbone to balance it out. Brilliant.

2.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Bottle. Hazy amber colour. Small, long lasting head. Aroma is all hops, tropical fruit, floral and some citrus. Taste is bitter, resiny, mango, peach, passionfruit, floral. The malt is lost in the pot pouri of hop flavours. Some sweetness, the effect with the resiny quality is cloying. Wish I had a curry to go with this.

4.6 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
650 mL bottle from SoHo Organic Market in Elizabeth City. Rusty orange pour with a bubbly off-white head. Aroma of tangerines, grapefruit, pine needles, and grass. Flavor is delicious with nearly equal parts bitter pine, bright citrus, and sweet caramel. Slight alcohol warming on the finish. Another stunning DIPA from BrewDog.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
To me itís not much more than a standard IPA, and although the IBU and ABV would say otherwise...itís certainly not "hardcore". Now, thatís not to say it isnít darn tasty, itís just to say that I could find an equally compelling IPA in a 6-pack that costs less then this 4-pack.

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle, cool but not cold and into a chalice glass. Not quite bright, the body a ruddy chestnut thatís radiant in the lights. Head a flaccid mess of dense off-white bubbles that lace well. Resiny hop nose displaying notes of strawberry, guava and paw-paw, a strange-lick of fondant icing and vine-clippings, some softer peach and lychee notes come through late. A lot of bitter orange, musk and rose-petals in the mouth, quite perfumy and all the more with the mild burn of alcohol in back. And pine, this has a whole state forest, it seems to have replaced malted barley in the grain-bill! Wads of orange and lime peel start to become pronounced mixing with the musk makes for a strange flavour profile that doesnít work. Bitterness is restrained though. Has an earthy, grittiness to it just after swallowing. A little rough all-in-all. Body is just lighter than that of the Punk IPA but it has the same soft feel. Might cellar one to compare but I can only see the hops fading to reduce it to nothing. Disappointing!!! (33cL, Batch 072, 26/05/11, The Beer Store Morley)

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Bottle. Pours a clear, honey brown body with a big - but quickly dissipating -fluffy head. Strong aroma of pine, some sourness, intense fruit and flowery hops. Taste is menacingly bitter, but in a highly pleasant way. Very stringent and sticky, pine hops character. Earthily and mildly sweet malts create balance. Very worthwhile.

3.8 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle: pours a hazy straw color with a thin whispy white head, aroma of reminds me of some past barley wines that I have had - hoppy, dark fruit - plus maybe some citrus, taste is hoppy, citrus with a bitter (but not overpowering) finish.

12oz bottle. Pours a dark brownish copper with a minimal head. Very pleasing aroma with citrus, pine, caramel and perhaps hints of berry. Taste is big bitter hops, caramel, with apparent, though not overbearing, alcohol. Itís sticky and moderately thick, but very good.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Poured at home in a (forgive me) Flying Dog Pint :)
The amber hazy colour and the cream white head make this beer very photogenic.
The explosion of flavours is fantastic. You can feel agrumes, flowers honey, pine, earthy, sweety candied orange.
Well balanced sweetnees and bitterness with a long bitter note at the end as expected.
The body is full and very satisfying, soft carbonated and with a bitter finished as said.
I really enjoyed it paired with hot bread and mature goat cheese.
