Pours a deliciously malty brown colour. Aroma of fruit & alcohol. Taste of bitter bananas, with a powerful alcoholic fruit kick. Pungent malt after-taste.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
33cl bottle. Filtered brown liquid with medium and thick gray head. Nose : Tart with lime and citrus zest. Spices. Sip : Full body with low carbonation. Oily texture. Sweet background with genuine grapefruit bitterness. Sharp flavors. Well balanced and lasting with mellow ending. It doesn’t leave any bad aftertaste, it leaves just the right perfumes. Nice one.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours a dark amber-red with a small foamy tan head. Aroma is of citrus, pine, fruit, sweet malts, some toasted caramel, and a little booze. Taste is of citrus, pine, apricot and pineapple, sweet malts, toasted caramel malt, some toffee, and a little booze. Has a medium full body with a slightly creamy mouthfeel, bubbly carbonation, and a balaced, slightly metelic and sweet finish. Overall, a pretty good DIPA that hides the 150 IBU’s with a lot malts, but is hindered by some light booze and a slighty metelic finish.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Strong sweet tropical fruit (mango, pineapple) aroma immediately as the bottle is opened, more hops detectable on the nose as it warms. Pours amber with a lasting off white head. Initially big sweet citrus, caramel and cream flavour moving to a long lasting, strong bitter pine, grass, and resin hop finisg. Medium body and carbonation. Bold but drinkable.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Flowery nose, crystally body. Big on the flavour but not on body. An absolute palate wrecker, and I just loved the spiderwebs.

Bottle, batch 221. Pours red amber, with a finger thick head. Aroma is a nice hoppy bitterness with notes of flowers and pine, and a solid malt backbone with toffee and bread. Full body, and soft to medium carbonation. Flavour is bitter hops with resin, grapefruit and orange peel, and a good roasted malt toffee. Long grapefruit bitterness in the finish.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Total Wine, Fairfax 330ml ($4): Pours a dark amber colour with a white head. Aroma is fruity hops: plenty of grapefruit, but more substantial sugary fruits as well. Taste is well-balanced between the malty and the bitter elements. The hops attack at the front and sustain, but get balanced out by the malty sweetness towards the middle and the back. This is medium bodied, and, because of the intense flavours, it is definitely more of a sipper than anything.

4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20
Poured a nice hazy amber with mild lacing. Strong citrus aromas with some sweetness, malts are notable with a trailing spiciness and subtle woodyness. Flavors of strong bitter sweet hops, there is strong notes of grapefruit with malts following and then more hop flavors linger with a hint of wood and a minimal amount of warmth from the alcohol. The Finish: the malts come out a little more as it warms and the hops hold strong, there is a bright citrus fruityness to this beer... The 9.2% ABV is very sneaky!
