This Imperial India Pale Ale Rocks... Hardcore! But donít feel obliged to take our word for it, this little bottle has a grandiloquent story to tell. 2,204 malted Maris Otter grains gave all they had to offer the world to provide the robustly delicate toffee malt canvas for the ensuing epic. 4 Hop Cones willingly sacrificed themselves in fiery cauldron that is our brew kettle to ensure your mouth is left feeling punished and puckering for more. 9,900,000,000 yeast cells frantically fermented their little hearts out as the sugars were magically turned into alcohol in the dark depths of our fermentation tanks. 2 humans and 1 canine companion are relatively happy with the results
Note this is for the new petrol blue coloured labels with white lettering, which is 9.2%. Ratings for the older bottles with with bright blue label and black lettering should go under the first edition.

11.2 oz bottle - pours clear orange with medium-small white head. Big malty biscuit aromas mixed with orange peel, lemon and nice tangy aromatic hops. Taste is orange resin, giving way to cooler bitterness. Lingering bitter notes. Medium bodied, long finish. Very good.

Pours a hazy copper amber with a frothy off white head. Aroma of grassy hops, rich sweet malts, toffee and a hint of booze. Taste is grassy hops, caramel, rich malts, toffee and a slight boozy warming alcohol finish. Very smooth and pleasant to drink.

Pours a hazy amber-copper colour with sizeable sticky dirty white head leaving lots of lace up the glass. Aroma is sweet malt, and sweet tropical fruits. Flavour is sweet malt, tropical fruit, pine, solid malt profile, high smooth bitterness and a mild warming alcohol. This is a really well balanced beer.

Aroma of piney resin & citrusy hops. Caramel and alcohol. Flavour is intense. Caramel sweetness gives way to a lasting bitterness. Strong body, lovely lasting impression on the tongue.

Gently seething hop nose with notes of candy, grapefruit and mango. Pours a lovely deep gold/amber with a fluffy head. Flavour is puckeringly thick with hops but, strangely, in a gently subtle way. Balance may be the key to this excellent DIPA, as it has that in spades. Finish is dry but not astringent and ends with rich chewy malts dancing off into the sunset with zingy tropical hops. Excellent. Really, really good.

Bottle at home. Title says it all, a hardcore version of there Punk IPA. Somehow I like the Punk better then the Hardcore. But still very nice! Very very hoppy!

Bottle from Vinmonopolet, Norway. Pours a hazy and dark amber colour with a thin head that disappears quickly. Good and strong aroma of citrus fruits, grapefruit and hops. Medium mouthfeel. Flavour of grapefruit and bitter hops, very bitter in fact. The aftertaste is incredibly dry and bitter. A bit too harsh at first, but it warms up after a while. Not bad, but Iíve tasted better strong IPAís.

Pours a deep amber with little to no white head. Aromas of pine, citrus, and alcohol. This is a meaty DIPA. Alot of big hop bitterness and a rather crisp finish. Big time legs running down the glass. Overall this is a very solid DIPA, and one I would definitely try again, but itís not really separating itself from other elite DIPAís Iíve had.
