This Imperial India Pale Ale Rocks... Hardcore! But don’t feel obliged to take our word for it, this little bottle has a grandiloquent story to tell. 2,204 malted Maris Otter grains gave all they had to offer the world to provide the robustly delicate toffee malt canvas for the ensuing epic. 4 Hop Cones willingly sacrificed themselves in fiery cauldron that is our brew kettle to ensure your mouth is left feeling punished and puckering for more. 9,900,000,000 yeast cells frantically fermented their little hearts out as the sugars were magically turned into alcohol in the dark depths of our fermentation tanks. 2 humans and 1 canine companion are relatively happy with the results
Note this is for the new petrol blue coloured labels with white lettering, which is 9.2%. Ratings for the older bottles with with bright blue label and black lettering should go under the first edition.

Pours a hazy golden amber, negligible head or lacing. Big up front piney hop flavor, big bittering. Lots of character in this one. Excellent IPA. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. Pours deep orange with a cream head. Spotty lacing. Aroma is citrus, cardboard, sweet, a bit of bubblegum. Taste is assertively bitter but wit ha soft, creamy mouthfeel. The booze really hits hard with this one. Walks the line between DIPA and hoppy barleywine.

Bottled 0,33L. Deep orange/amber color, much hazy and fraught aspect with a nice bubbly presence, optimal foamy and creamy head duration. Very pleasant and complex aroma, powerfull flowery hoppy notes, cellar, cask, clear mildew, ground, and resin. Very fresh and lively taste, much flowery notes, cortex, dried daisy, dust, caramel. Very very appreciable body, sweet with a little bitter and arid tips on the end. Long fresh and perfumed final of long duration.

Pours a golden red clear with a nice head and bright aroma. I instantly concur that the 9.2 ABV is very well hidden, very nice indeed. A little heavy on the palette but expected and welcome. This is strangely similar to the Whole Hog Six Hop IPA by Stevens Point Brewery, in fact...it’s very similar—which is a good thing. I like this, pour me another.

This is pretty good stuff. A hefty, strong IPA with the power of the crazy Scotsmen.

Pours a deep copper with a medium white head. Aromas are citrus, resin, caramel and armoatic hops. Like most of Brewdog beer, this Hardcore IPA is greatly balanced. Some hint of sweetness (reminding caramel or exotic fruits) and long and dry bitter finish. Complex aromas and great beer !

Single bottle. Pours a rich, dark copper. Very little head; mostly dissipating. Moderate lacing, active carbonation. Nose is grassy with some malt. Nice and bitter, though the hops come across as "mashed." Warm, boozy finish. Extremely drinkable, especially considering the abv.
