Light brown, and clear. Has an off-white head, lasting. Heavy and good aroma, hoppy, rubber, glue, sulfur, and nice malty sweetness. Flavor is heavy to harsh bitter, strong. More hoppiness. Texture is heavy dry, moderate creamy. Moderate carbonation.

Amber body with a nice white head. Aroma of hops and citrus. Medium bodied, nice carbonation. Big massive taste of bitter hops. Also had nice citrus notes and spices. Bitter finish that lasted forever and had a nice alcoholic kick. Tasty and refreshing. Fantastic!!

2.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Oh, BrewDog. I want to like your beers, but you arenít making it easy. This one is just too malty with a huge turpentine kick standing in for more delicate hop notes. The aroma seemed pretty good when I uncapped the bottle, but, once the beer hit the glass, things went downhill. The aroma is paint thinner, pine resin and too much caramel malt. The beer looks nice enough, but thatís not much of an accomplishment, to be honest. The flavor is over-sweet with sticky malt sugars and the hops lack complexity. This beer needs a water chaser just to get the film off my teeth. Iím not trying to say its awful, but itís absolutely not how I like my DIPAs. Pine resin lingers in the aftertaste, which would be nice but the cloying caramel flavor kills it. Booze, turpentine hops and sticky malt is a poor combination. I guess Iíll stick to the Paradox series.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
This poured a clear orange with a generous two fingers of foam. Aroma has some strong citrus and sweet malts. The taste up front has a good bit of citrus but even more spice. The aftertaste becomes rather sweet and fruity, with almost a hint of dark fruit. Alcohol also comes through a bit as well, though overall quite well hidden. A very thoroughly enjoyable double ipa.

3.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
330 ml bottle, courtesy of Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. Batch 62, ABV is 9.2%. Orange colour, big to moderate off-white head. Very nice aroma of fruity (mainly citrussy) and piney American hops. Also notes of crystal or caramel malts. The flavour has loads of piney hops throughout, with a substantial bitterness, on a fairly sweet malty background. Hints of tomcat. Not "well balanced", but what do you expect from an imperial IPA?

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
330ml bottle. Pours deep copper amber with a little haze. Slightly orange head. Hop aromas of resin and citrus fruit with a hint of some sort of woodiness underneath. Very well-rounded in the mouth with a quick sweet entry that flows out to a big hoppy finish thatís not uber bitter but lingers forever. I wouldnít be at all surprised to discover there was a little wood ageing involved in the process here.

3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Poured from bottle. Light aroma of citrus and floral notes. Pours a rich amber-gold with a pronounced and persistent head. On the tongue, there is an immediate burst of hops bitterness followed by roasted malt; it finishes with more hops bitterness, effectively cleaning the palate for another drink. Carbonation is appropriate for the level of hops. Not a beer Iíd drink a whole lot of, but a damned nice example of a DIPA. Iíve been critical of BrewDog in the past, but this is excellent. Good show.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bomber thanks to Ruth.
Appearance : Clear amber, medium fluffy head. Lots and lots of lacing.
Aroma : Resinous, floral. Lots of malt, quite fruity. A bit spicy also with traces of alcohol.
Taste : Woah this is bitter. Fruity and resinous. Sweet with notes of caramel and white sugar. Finish resinous, very bitter with some alcohol and spices.
Overall : Faint carbonation. This is among the most bitter stuff Iíve had (along with Hop-15). Good beer overall but the hops are not exactly my type and the bitterness is a bit too much. I had the entire bomber all by myself and it was a bit too much.
