This Imperial India Pale Ale Rocks... Hardcore! But donít feel obliged to take our word for it, this little bottle has a grandiloquent story to tell.
2,204 malted Maris Otter grains gave all they had to offer the world to provide the robustly delicate toffee malt canvas for the ensuing epic.
4 Hop Cones willingly sacrificed themselves in fiery cauldron that is our brew kettle to ensure your mouth is left feeling punished and puckering for more.
9,900,000,000 yeast cells frantically fermented their little hearts out as the sugars were magically turned into alcohol in the dark depths of our fermentation tanks.
2 humans and 1 canine companion are relatively happy with the results
Note this is for the new petrol blue coloured labels with white lettering, which is 9.2%. Ratings for the older bottles with with bright blue label and black lettering should go under the first edition.

2/3 pint on draft served at Brewdog Birmingham. Dark golden colour with a good white head which last admirably. Mouthfeel quite thick for the style but certainly to its credit. Aroma is leafy, hop flowers with the citrus notes clearly being the dominant with a little amount of spiciness somewhere towards the back. Not a massive amount of discernable maltiness but very welcoming and a little too easy drinking. Massive bitterness but I am surprised at the 150 IBU rating. I certainly would not have rated it that high. Certainly does not taste as bitter as Amager Envy or Rogue XS Old Crustacean. Excellent IIPA.

From the bottle the pour is cloudy and golden brown, Aroma is hop forward with malt hints, taste is hoppy caramel and toffee, finish is heavy with a very full mouth feal.

Holy fuck. This is huge. This is absolutely stunning. Beacuse Iím a cheap bloke, I very rarely go for more expensive beers and it was a gamechanger for me. Barman at Viva La Pinta persuaded me to buy this and even gave me a little discount and God, how am I glad he did it. (bottle 0,33) This was worth every penny, I donít think Iíve ever drunk such rich, such wonderful beer with so much to offer in terms of aroma and flavor. Incredibely strong raisin and floral aroma, and some citrus also, but what is most impressive is this balance between sweetness and bitterness, both strong, powerful and still, it does work just perfect. Ah, Iím really speechless.

Clear amber coloured beer with a small white cup. I smell fruit and hops. Tastes like strong tasty hops, malt, fruit, citrus and herbs. Long hoppy aftertaste, nice.

330ml bottle from ales by mail. Appearance is copper in colour and crystal clear with a little frothy head. Aroma is floral and citrusy with caramel sweetness and a malty background. Taste is fruity and herbal with a bitter sweet and slightly dry finish with alcohol warmth. Explosive flavours which marry very well.

Bottle. Dark copper with little head. Aromas of pine, grass and grapefruit. Similar in taste with resin and caramel. Sweetish malts give way to dry bitter finish. Bit too much crystal malt for my liking, but then I always preferred the original version. Still pretty decent. One of those IPAs that would shade into a barley wine if there were less hops or a bit of age on it.

Muted aroma of malt, hops, hints of caramel and dried fruit. Slightly cloudy caramel colour with a short lasting white well laced head. Taste of dried fruit and hops with hints of malt and caramel. Dry feel, medium body and a slightly bitter finish.

Bottle - tesco double IPA. Crystal clear, deep red pour, incredibly inviting. Huge resinous aroma of grapefruit and sweet malts. Flavour is sweet, bitter, resin, citrus. Every element is huge but they marry perfectly. Ridiculous that this beer is £2 a bottle. One of my favourites.

Very good brew from brewdog and off course tesco. Hardcore ipa is good... Not a school night beer
