This Imperial India Pale Ale Rocks... Hardcore! But don’t feel obliged to take our word for it, this little bottle has a grandiloquent story to tell.
2,204 malted Maris Otter grains gave all they had to offer the world to provide the robustly delicate toffee malt canvas for the ensuing epic.
4 Hop Cones willingly sacrificed themselves in fiery cauldron that is our brew kettle to ensure your mouth is left feeling punished and puckering for more.
9,900,000,000 yeast cells frantically fermented their little hearts out as the sugars were magically turned into alcohol in the dark depths of our fermentation tanks.
2 humans and 1 canine companion are relatively happy with the results
Note this is for the new petrol blue coloured labels with white lettering, which is 9.2%. Ratings for the older bottles with with bright blue label and black lettering should go under the first edition.

Amber body, off-white head. Hoppy aroma with peach, grape fruit, brown sugar, roasted nuts and oat biscuits. A touch of licorice. Semi-dry ending. Interesting IPA.

On décèle légèrement l’alcool. Carbonation moyenne.

33cl bottle into Tulip. Minneapolis. Appearance: Amber/orange in color. Deep cloudy, mostly opaque. Small layer of white head on the surface. Aroma: Complex. Hops - Floral, resin, citrus. Choclately roasted malt undertones. Smells fantastic. Taste: Nicely balanced. Mildy sweet with a pleasant bitterness. Palate: Full bodied for the style. Texture is smooth. Medium length finish. Overall: This beer has nice complexity. The aroma is really well done. Great balance between the hops and the malt. Neither is overpowering, and they build on each other. Worth a try.

33cl bottle from "Cerveteca" bar in Lisbon. It pours an orange and hazy amber colour with a thick and persisting beige head. Aroma is of strong raisin and pines, hops, green mango and some floral nose. Taste is also piney, raisin, hops, fruity and with a nice bitter aftertaste that combines afterwards with a well balanced sweetness. Medium carbonation with a full body and a very dry finish. You cannot feel the taste of alcohol at all. This is a very unique and distinct double IPA and very easy drinking. Recommended for any "hop-head" out there. I would drink it again.

Commendable - I love how Brewdog pushes things to the limit. Aroma is quite muted citrus and hops. Flavour is powerful caramel malts and with hints of grapefruit and a big bitter finish. No detection of heat despite the 9.2%. Nice as a once off, not an every day beer.

Muddy deep nut orange body with a small light brown head. Dates and tropical fruits on the nose. Full bodied and well carbonated with pungent flavors. Salty sweet and piny, fruity bitter with a lasting finish revealing more earthy notes. Well balanced and pleasant to drink.

Bottle at Home, the Tesco Finest Double American IPA bottle (same beer). Poured a deep amber with thin head, aroma of honey and a strong bitter finish, very good strong IPA although didn’t feel like 9.2%.

bottle Pours clear amber with a lovely, staying, creamy, off-white head. Wonderful duration. Aroma is lovely resiny, piney, hoppy, some plant sap and apricot. Medium carbonation, lovely dry and creamy mouthfeel. Flavour is lightly vinious, plant sap, resiny, apricot. Hides the alcohol very well and is simply impressively balanced. A very good and balanced Double IPA.
