This Imperial India Pale Ale Rocks... Hardcore! But don’t feel obliged to take our word for it, this little bottle has a grandiloquent story to tell.
2,204 malted Maris Otter grains gave all they had to offer the world to provide the robustly delicate toffee malt canvas for the ensuing epic.
4 Hop Cones willingly sacrificed themselves in fiery cauldron that is our brew kettle to ensure your mouth is left feeling punished and puckering for more.
9,900,000,000 yeast cells frantically fermented their little hearts out as the sugars were magically turned into alcohol in the dark depths of our fermentation tanks.
2 humans and 1 canine companion are relatively happy with the results
Note this is for the new petrol blue coloured labels with white lettering, which is 9.2%. Ratings for the older bottles with with bright blue label and black lettering should go under the first edition.

Bottle @ NK Saluhall. Clear amber colour with a medium white head. Aroma of hops, honey, fruit. Flavour of hops, some fruit. Tried it alongside I Hardcore You, go for that one. Whatever Mikkeller did it improved this beer.

White amber color, clear beer with nice white head, it’s unstable as you can expect from 9,2% abv beer. Aroma: whoa, sweet! sweet yellow fruits, citrus, mango, really sweet, and then some resin Taste: sweet again. caramel, sweet and refreshing fruits, than comes bitterness and... stays somewhere in the backyard. Dont stays on tongue at all, I would say that this beer is way more sweet than bitter. meduim body, soft carbonation, alcohol totally hidden. Really short finish. Sweet, incredibly drinkable IIPA. Even too sweet, 1st time in my life in IIPA bitterness did not came on top. great stuff, impressive, but there’s no finish. There’s no hardcore in this :)

Ambar oscuro limpio. Espuma beige claro persistente.

Golden color, small white head. Cat piss -hoppy aroma (=fresh grass). Cut grass bitterness in the flavor. Nicely balanced. Hoppyness rises nicely in the aftertaste.

Bottle - amber body with a bubbly dirty white head which soon fizzles away. Aroma of grass, orange and caramel with hints of seaweed. Taste of caramel and roasted malts followed by grassy flavours, bitter orange peel and an earthy, light bitter end. Medium body, prickly carbonatoin.

Pours a dark red gold with fluffy thick head that slowly pops away to a wisp. Complex aroma is sweet fruity and resinous. Flavour is the distinctive Punk citrus hop eased back to share the limelight with fruit cake, subtle malt and resin. Finish is long and dry with a rich sweetness. Not one for gulping.

Bottle shared with friends. Beautiful clear copper coloured beer. Aroma of big hops, sweet fruits, peach maybe... Taste much the same. Palate is both very sweet and very bitter. Peach, mango, orange peel, grapefruit... bit of honey, caramel malts... Finish is bitter and lingers for quite some time. Delicious beer.

This is a beer I have had many times, and thought I had actually rated cause of this. This is a beer that always makes me think, "damn this is a good beer" . This was a dated version which was not looked after, and yet still looked better than fresher counterparts but did take this into allowance when rating. Also never realised until reading the description here that this is a 150 IBU beer.

Bottle - perfect deep orange pour and a medium large head. Has a citrus grapefruit aroma and taste. Resinous mouthfeel. Some caramel in there as well. Full bodied.

Comes out of tap hazy apricot with a thick eggshell head. Strong aroma is quite hoppy and resiny with a firm fruity undertone that is mainly citrus plus a hint of pear. Flavor is boldly evergreen, a little bitter, slightly fruity and slightly malty. Texture is firm and rather fizzy. For hardcore IPA lovers.

HKdIPA (329) - HONG KONG - JAN 10, 2015
Bottle from Brewcraft at home. Copper slightly hazy pour. Aroma is fruity hops and booze - mango, over ripe pineapple and booze. Taste is big and boozy, very very resinous hops - astringent like some west coast DIPAs - not as unpleasant though. Aggressive flavor and booziness. Very good though. Quite smooth and even, if not balanced, in flavor.
