4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 LED40 (41) - - MAR 2, 2012330ml bottle. Smell is sweet and very tropical fruit like, grapefruit and mango mostly. Appearance is amber with a thick head considering the abv. Palate is medium and taste is bitter with a sharp fininsh. A great example of a British Double IPA - comparable to the Punk IPA but kicked up with more flavour and alcohol.

A really nice Imperial IPA. Not as over the top bitter as some other Imperials, but nice to be able to identify hop characteristics. Enjoyable

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 Rob_D_UK (178) - - MAY 13, 2013
Poured a clear amber color with a long lasting large off-white head. Citrus and sweaty hop forward aroma. Sweaty hop flavor at the front and covers almost all of the malt. Sweetness dries out with a mild bitterness on the finish. Nice warmth with a medium body
4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 HopRedHead (120) - Perth, AUSTRALIA - MAY 10, 2013
Mane Liquor. Sipped from the bottle. Spruce/grassy nose with a caramel malt aroma. Plenty of citrus in the mix too, smells big. Taste follows suit, big caramel sweetness backed by a big 150 IBU bitterness. I noticed a touch of bubblegum sweetness on the back. Nice and bitter, solid bodied beer. Serious IPA.
3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 PriorL (259) - BELGIUM - MAY 10, 2013
Bottle at home, bought at ’Geers’.
Appearance: amber/blonde beer, big stable white head.
Nose: spices, fruits, apples, lemon.
Taste: alcohol, caramel, very heavy taste for an IPA, probably a typical DIPA taste? Bitter aftertaste.
4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 Derek881 (855) - Frederick, Maryland, USA - MAY 9, 2013
Poured from a large bottle into a trumpet glass to drink. The beer had a hazy, cloudy copper-orange color with a large foamy and creamy light tan head that had great retention, and excellent cling and lacing. Its aroma featured a strong blend of citrus and pine hops, along with some spice and yeast, and light lemon and straw. The taste had an excellent citrus and grainy hops bitterness, a slight floral sour component, and the slightest hint of sweet sugar. The body was lively and fizzy, with great carbonation, and had a watery, but dry mouthfeel, with good cling and subtle thickness. Very good beer!
