This Imperial India Pale Ale Rocks... Hardcore! But don’t feel obliged to take our word for it, this little bottle has a grandiloquent story to tell. 2,204 malted Maris Otter grains gave all they had to offer the world to provide the robustly delicate toffee malt canvas for the ensuing epic. 4 Hop Cones willingly sacrificed themselves in fiery cauldron that is our brew kettle to ensure your mouth is left feeling punished and puckering for more. 9,900,000,000 yeast cells frantically fermented their little hearts out as the sugars were magically turned into alcohol in the dark depths of our fermentation tanks. 2 humans and 1 canine companion are relatively happy with the results
Note this is for the new petrol blue coloured labels with white lettering, which is 9.2%. Ratings for the older bottles with with bright blue label and black lettering should go under the first edition.

330ml bottle. Smell is sweet and very tropical fruit like, grapefruit and mango mostly. Appearance is amber with a thick head considering the abv. Palate is medium and taste is bitter with a sharp fininsh. A great example of a British Double IPA - comparable to the Punk IPA but kicked up with more flavour and alcohol.

Bottle. Pours hazy orange/amber with foamy head. Nice, complex aroma: toffee, honey, caramel, pine, some citrus. Medium sweet with light bitter finish. Medium to full body, slick and a little sticky feel, soft carbonation. Overall very good beer, but I prefer IIPAs with more hops aroma and bitterness, which mine was lacking, to my astonishment. 150 IBU? Would never guess.

Hazy dark ochre liquid, average head. Strong, soft, fruity aroma of hops. Medium body, little bit carbonation. Taste is bitter.

Tried as "Mr President", bottle from Tesco. Pours rich clear coppery amber with fleeting head of orange-beige. Aroma strongly hoppy - deep pine, mango, fudge and port. Medium sweetness balanced with heavy bitter edge. Full-bodied with thick oily texture and long bitter finish. Not sure I could have more than one of these in a row - very rich. Enjoyed this though.

Offert par Nutjes. Bouteille de 33 cl. Couleur cuivré type quadruple. Mousse inexistante. Top!

Great Double IPA better than the last recipe in my opinion, nice aroma or battered mango and a sweet taste that ends with a little bitterness

Bottle at home. Pours amber with small off-white head. Aroma is strong hops, citrus and oak. Taste is hoppy and boozy. Palate is full with quite big carbonation. Bit too much hops.
