This little bottle has a grandiloquent story to tell. 2,204 malted Maris Otter grains gave all they had to offer the world to provide the robustly delicate toffee malt canvas for the ensuing epic. 6 Hop Cones willingly sacrificed themselves in fiery cauldron that is our brew kettle to ensure your mouth is left feeling punished and puckering for more. 9,900,000,000 yeast cells frantically fermented their little hearts out as the sugars were magically turned into alcohol in the dark depths of our fermentation tanks. This explicit ale has more hops and bitterness that any other beer brewed in the UK. This is an extreme beer rollercoaster for freaks, gypsies and international chess superstars.

Note this is for the new petrol blue coloured labels with white lettering, which is 9.2%. Ratings for the older bottles with with bright blue label and black lettering should go under the first edition.

Yellow/orange/copper apperance. Bitter floral aroma, bitter aftertaste. A little bit of sweet hop in there. Good stuff.

Pours dark amber with off white head. Malty, caramel, herbal grassy aroma. Strong bitterness. Just a little too harsh for me.

Bottle 0,33. Flat white head with almost none lacing. Clearly and dark orange or even amber colour. Aroma is sweet and hoppy. Type of hops is deffinietly floral, grassy and herbal. First mouthfull is sweet caramel but also huge bitterness - after that unpleasant alcoholic aftertaste. Hmm and not much more, maybe a little bit of licorice - but maybe I’m exaggerating. Just ordinary, essential and very strong Imperial IPA. Little disappointment.

0,33L bottle, BB 17.12.2014. Pours clear amber with nice off white head. The head stays for a moment, nice lacing. Aroma is pine, caramel and citrus. Taste is nice pine and grapefruit bitter with sweetness and caramel in the back. Alcohol is rather well hidden. Finish is long pine bitter. Overall: great dipa.

AROMA: not very intensive, notes of some kind of herb liqueur, resin, citrus, alcohol notes, after quite long time hops vanish almost entirely receiving some sweet smell (mango with malt?); APPEARANCE: color of amber/copper, slitght suspension (proteins, I guess), can’t rate head bacouse of type of glass; TASTE: below medium bitterness (from hops as well as from alcohol), fair sweetness, strong alcohol note; PALATE: kind of liquour sensation, medium bitterness, fair sweetness, a bit sour, rather low carbotation, faceless finish; OVERALL: not bad, but doesn’t satisfy my high expectetions; BATCH: 002 BEER’S EXPIRATION DATE: 2015-01-06

Bottle. Fruit salad hop aroma, pleasant and round. Hazy red oorange amber, offwhite head. Pine and grass entry, fruity notes follow, light sticky caramel notes, peach, mango, dragonfruit notes. Grassy, earthy, pineneedle aftertaste. Chewy medium full body, well balanced and pleasant to drink.

Wow. Just wow. This packs an amazing punch at 9.2% but with such a flavour explosion its to die for. Even though its badged as Tesco double IPA you can tell its a Brew Dog a mile off! Its dark amber colour and amber tinged head hide the hoppiest beer you’ll probably ever have. Buy this beer right now unless you’re afraid of flavour!

Bottle from local Alko. Dark to light orange color, small white head. Aromas of rye bread, sweet syrup, malts and hops. Flavor of malts, rye bread, strong hops, fruits. Malty for ipa and interesting in many ways.

12 oz. bottle. Pour is a murky orange amber, nice off white head that laces well. Aroma is loaded with resiny hops and sweet citrus. Pineapple, orange and mango with a piney bitterness. Taste is malt forward on the front end with caramel and sweet citrus. You get pineapple, orange and a touch of mango. After about 2 seconds this beer climbs this incredible hop ladder of spicy bitterness and tart citrus. A really pleasant combination of bitterness and sweetness after it fades. This is really good stuff, and having watched all the Brew Dogs episodes and the knowledge of beer they display, I'm really not surprised. Reminds me of the Weyerbacher Double Simcoe but more complex.

pours a nice dark orange with a good fluffy white head. There is a lot of citrus and floral flavors. The hops is medium and there is a lot of bitterness.
