This Imperial India Pale Ale Rocks... Hardcore! But don’t feel obliged to take our word for it, this little bottle has a grandiloquent story to tell. 2,204 malted Maris Otter grains gave all they had to offer the world to provide the robustly delicate toffee malt canvas for the ensuing epic. 4 Hop Cones willingly sacrificed themselves in fiery cauldron that is our brew kettle to ensure your mouth is left feeling punished and puckering for more. 9,900,000,000 yeast cells frantically fermented their little hearts out as the sugars were magically turned into alcohol in the dark depths of our fermentation tanks. 2 humans and 1 canine companion are relatively happy with the results
Note this is for the new petrol blue coloured labels with white lettering, which is 9.2%. Ratings for the older bottles with with bright blue label and black lettering should go under the first edition.

Ungstrup (34708) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - JUL 13, 2010
Bottled. An amber beer with an orangey head. The aroma has strong notes of over ripe fruits, alcohol, and malt, as well as notes of caramel and hops lending it notes of citrus fruits and elderflowers. The flavor is sweet with strong notes of over ripe fruits, hops, alcohol, and caramel, as well as medium notes of grapefruit and dusty hops, leading to a very bitter finish.

Bottled@The Chriso rock the roof down pre-GBBF tasting. Golden colour, small white head. Aroma is big time hops, fruits, wood, grass, some nectar. Flavour is being quite much the same in a very good balance. Extremely nice IIPA/DIPA.

Papsoe (25063) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - JUL 13, 2010
Bottle 33 cl. Courtesy of Ungstrup. Pours a hazy warm amber with a smallish off-white head leaving some lacework. Intense almost herbal hop aroma with no particular sticking out - what I usually refer to as hop soup. Solid body, lots of caramel and fruit before the hops come roaring in again leaving quite a hop burn. A very muscly Double IPA. 130710

omhper (23730) - Tyresö, SWEDEN - NOV 24, 2010
Draught at Akkurat, Stockholm. Cloudy amber, small head. Grapefruity nose with salmiak underneath. Sweet, full bodied with clean rounded mouthfeel. Salmiak strangely comes to dominate grapefruit. Hugely bitter finish. An obnoxious American style IPA.
