This Imperial India Pale Ale Rocks... Hardcore! But don’t feel obliged to take our word for it, this little bottle has a grandiloquent story to tell. 2,204 malted Maris Otter grains gave all they had to offer the world to provide the robustly delicate toffee malt canvas for the ensuing epic. 4 Hop Cones willingly sacrificed themselves in fiery cauldron that is our brew kettle to ensure your mouth is left feeling punished and puckering for more. 9,900,000,000 yeast cells frantically fermented their little hearts out as the sugars were magically turned into alcohol in the dark depths of our fermentation tanks. 2 humans and 1 canine companion are relatively happy with the results
Note this is for the new petrol blue coloured labels with white lettering, which is 9.2%. Ratings for the older bottles with with bright blue label and black lettering should go under the first edition.

Tap and bottle in The Rake. Aroma smashes you with what seems like simcoe to me, very piney, tangerine, bit citrusy hit, underlying toffee malt, but its all about the hops. Taste is similar, but seems to keep it all balanced, its not too sweet or bitter, its just an intence rush of flavour on the tougne which melts together nicely. Good long finish. Extremly easy to drink for the %. Good show!

Had it on tap at Brewdog Edinburgh ... i just remember it was very bitter. However, when I was there, they also had it in their hop cannon, infused with blueberries and coconuts => That was amazing.

Clear amber with light amber lasting, lacing foam head. Decent hoppy aroma and very nice bittersweet taste - not too sweet. Some nutty tones. (Velp 201507)

Nice aroma - sweetness with touch of bitterness: caramel, chocolate, grass, coffee.. Taste continues the aroma title with some burst in you mouth and goes to the light and sweet bitter. Really like this one.

A nice dark amber color and thick, slightly off-white head. The aroma is very hoppy, lots of grapefruit, citrus, some pine, caramel in the back. Full bodied, slightly oily mouth feel, heavy bitterness that keeps hitting in a long finish.

Draught at Hathor. Huge hop profile, tons of bitter grapefruit, green citrus and solid caramel malt backbone, lingering bitter finish. Very west coast, a classic IIPA and one of their most solid flagship brews.

Light red color. Low carbonation. Dry, bitter hops. Sweet with malt, as I expect for the style. I almost taste some oak. Herbal, and dry in the finish.

Amber color with a nice white head that keeps a lacing for a long time. Aroma of grapefruit-citrus, orange, a touch of caramel. Flavor is hoppy and malty, no alcohol at all, completely masked alcohol. Low carbonation and medium to full body with pleasant and long sweet bitterness. Finishes smooth and dry and with a lingering bitter aftertaste. A very muscly Double IPA.

Orange/amber with thin frothy head. Aroma of grapefruit-citrus, pine, a touch of caramel. It has a sweety side but is more bitter than sweet. Long bitter finish. Low to medium carbonation.
