This Imperial India Pale Ale Rocks... Hardcore! But don’t feel obliged to take our word for it, this little bottle has a grandiloquent story to tell.
2,204 malted Maris Otter grains gave all they had to offer the world to provide the robustly delicate toffee malt canvas for the ensuing epic.
4 Hop Cones willingly sacrificed themselves in fiery cauldron that is our brew kettle to ensure your mouth is left feeling punished and puckering for more.
9,900,000,000 yeast cells frantically fermented their little hearts out as the sugars were magically turned into alcohol in the dark depths of our fermentation tanks.
2 humans and 1 canine companion are relatively happy with the results
Note this is for the new petrol blue coloured labels with white lettering, which is 9.2%. Ratings for the older bottles with with bright blue label and black lettering should go under the first edition.

Draught at Bishops Arms Folkungagatan, Stockholm. Pours out in a shady reddish amber colour with a small creamy white head. Hoppy and rather sappy aroma of pine, resin, plums,, Sevilee oranges with hints of caramel. Nearly full-bodied with notes of bittersweet notes of pine, resin, red grapefruit,, mango, Seville oranges and caramel. Well-hidden alcohol but a bit rough carbonation. Bitter finish of of grass, pine, grapefruit and sweetish notes of Seville oranges. Much better than their earlier version but nit’s still not over 4.0.

Explosive aroma of different hops. Taste of malt, hops, citrus, honey. Aftertaste is sweet and honey like from the start and really bitter afterwards. I would like it to be "hardcore" - just bitter :)

Great beer, strong nose, full hops flavor without the extreme over the top bitterness. Blends well with the sweetness

330ml bottle, pours a magnificent copper with small white cap. Aroma is all passion fruit and sweet pineapple juice with a trace of herbal pine. Rich creamy mouth feel with a lot more malt on the taste, fruits ripen on the taste, definite overripe melon in there for me, then things bitter up on the finish and warm up too. Bitterness never gets mental but goes on and on accompanied by a deep, sweet warmth. Not really what I expected. A beer to savour.

good grapefruit aroma, dark amber gold colour with a frothy white head, a quick burst of citrus then a big hit of bitter pinecones and a medium dry finish, really rather good with no hint of its strength.

bottle shared by albatross, many thanks for this fresh bottle from scotland, from your piuthar i sould say! pours clear bright golden with a creamy white cap, good retention and nice lacing. lots of melons and mangoes - their tasty juicy meat, sweet pine and spruce gum, doughy honeyed maltiness - gently toasted barley sugars - some sweetness indeed, clean yeast. light carbonation, medium body - oily and sticky; semi-sweet, boozy and spicy-citrusy-piney finish. nice american barleywine-ish offering - glad i had the chance to sample it fresh. good!

Very rich IPA. Strong but not sweet and very drinkable. Nice orange colour and very fruity aroma and taste. There is a touch of overripe fruit that I dislike a bit - still great.
