This Imperial India Pale Ale Rocks... Hardcore! But don’t feel obliged to take our word for it, this little bottle has a grandiloquent story to tell.
2,204 malted Maris Otter grains gave all they had to offer the world to provide the robustly delicate toffee malt canvas for the ensuing epic.
4 Hop Cones willingly sacrificed themselves in fiery cauldron that is our brew kettle to ensure your mouth is left feeling punished and puckering for more.
9,900,000,000 yeast cells frantically fermented their little hearts out as the sugars were magically turned into alcohol in the dark depths of our fermentation tanks.
2 humans and 1 canine companion are relatively happy with the results
Note this is for the new petrol blue coloured labels with white lettering, which is 9.2%. Ratings for the older bottles with with bright blue label and black lettering should go under the first edition.

Clear dark amber pour with a nice but standard off white head. Aroma is some nelson sauvin hops with grape, pine, grapes, pineapple and some caramel notes. The taste is big bodied IIPA malt and caramel, but also lots of nice nelson hops, pineapple, grape, pine and in general very fruity. Really good.

This is one really cool beer! It’s balanced in all ways, like a masterpiece. It may lack a soul of an adventurer, but after weird and cool beers I will come back for this one.

Pours a clear amber color, topped with a medium off-white head. Pleasant hoppy aroma, notes of caramel and fruit, grassy. Starts sweet, followed by quite heavy bitterness, hoppy with some spices in tehre. Some alcohol taste. Drinkable, but quite strong.

Very hopintensive IPA. Kind of oily taste with well balanced but dominant bitterness. Nice hoppy smell and amber color.

Une IPA forte, houblon bien présent mais accessible. Côté fruité important, litchi. Bouteille bue au bar La tête à l’envers, Vincennes, France, le 21/05/2014.

Clear red gold, strong white head. Delightful hoppy aroma - I’d say the fruity notes dominate - with hints the alcohol as well. Very distinct bitternesswith notes of.. cellar, roasted malt, caramel and warming alcohol. Finish is... tingly bitterness with warming sensations. Interesting, hardcore indeed!

Bottle. Pours a clear copper body under a one finger frothy white head that faded to a wispy film. The nose is rather heavy on the malt, lots of caramel, a little husky malt, moderate alcohol, and hefty amount of piney and resiny hops. Unfortunately, the flavor is overly malt driven, with a fairly heavy caramel sweetness. The hops are fairly bitter, but not especially bright or juicy tasting. Not exactly my kind of IIPA. Medium to full bodied with fizzy carbonation and a slightly sticky finish. I think I’ll pass on another go at this one.

Une belle surprise dans la lignée de la brasserie brewdog! Une hardcore avec une amertume extrême, très houblonnée avec des arômes de fruits exotiques d’agrumes et de fleurs suivi par une finale tout en douceur.

tightslice (232) - Redwood City, California, USA - NOV 10, 2014
Format: Bottle from Safeway in Redwood City, CA
Appearance: Medium to deep amber with a creamy, light khaki head
Aroma: Caramel, mango, sweet flowers, pine
Taste: Sweet malts upfront followed by spicy rye notes and slightly bitter hops that linger nicely. A smooth bitterness, if that makes sense.
Overall: A big, creamy and balanced Imperial IPA that borders on being a barleywine (but without the booze).

330ml bottle served in a pint glass. A: Pours a slightly cloudy amber color forming a big, creamy and persistent beige head. Good retention. Forms a lot of lingering and molasses lacings in the glass. S: Really powerful grassy and piny hops in the nose. Strong notes of caramel malts. A bit fruity and booze in the end. Alcohol is well hidden by the hoppy bouquet. T: Upfront is a slightly sweet. Strong notes of caramel malts and toffee which is followed by a strong bitterness kick. Strong notes of piny, grassy and herbal hops. American style hops profile. M: Medium body. Medium carbonation. Caramel and hops bitterness in the aftertaste. O: Great drinkability. Strong and lovely. Authentic American style IPA made in the old continent. For hardcore-punky-hopheads! ;)

Robe orangée, voilée, grosse carbo, collet moyen persistant. Aromes caramel, seve, légèrement fruité. Puissante, notes fruités et caramel ressortent bien. Belle amertume sèche sur la finale
