3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 FaithHealer1 (330) - - JAN 10, 2013Keg at North Bar, Leeds. Pours a dark amber, small white head. Aroma is great, loads of juicy hoppy fun, with orange/apple/blackcurrant juice. Taste is hoot and bitter at the start, with a very nice juicy ’bounce’ on the end - lots of tropical/red/dark fruit flavours in that finish. Palate is maybe slightly too sharp and bitter, not balanced quite right, and, as flavour as the find is, that too gives way to a bit of unbalanced bitterness. Very good, but not quite as good as Ingrid. I hate to be ’that guy’, but I’m not naysaying just for the sake of it, that’s just how I see it.

#30 Brewdog. 33 cl. Bottle @ Delirium Hoppy Loft. DIPA with brambleberries. Pours a dark amber with little white head. Full creamy Brewdog hop-profile in the nose & actually enjoyable this time around whilst remaining typically Brewdog (I am usually not a big fan of their IPA’s), grapefruit & herbal, very sharp, prickly hoppy, some pine,… Body is very creamy (due to the bramle?), almost yoghurt-like in texture in a very good way, bitter Brewdog profile, pine, lightly herbal, touch citrus, light caramel, grass, weeds, reasonably bitter,… Quite lovely but too pricy as much of their non-standard line-up. Sadly I am not really picking up the fruit here which is bit of a bummer.
