COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Keg & Bottle, Specially brewed by BrewDog’s Swedish importer at BrewDog, exclusivly for Sweden.
A double IPA with Cloudberries added to the conditioning tank. So just who is Ingrid? Perhaps she’s a reference to the Swedish silver screen icon or maybe it’s the line seemingly spoken by every other Swedish actress in films from the 60s and 70s (we know you know the ones we’re talking about). One thing is certain – this Swedish inspired Double IPA is not as innocent as she at first appears. A seductive body of rich malts and a buxom amount of Citra, Nelson Sauvin and Bramling Cross hops have been added to fresh Scandinavian cloudberries to deliver this beer’s raunchy tart finish. Designed by the readers of Swedish beer blog BeerSweden, ‘Hello, My Name is Ingrid’ is a celebration of all that is great about Sweden. It does not, however, contain any pickled herrings. Or meatballs.

Bottle. Dark amber beer with a strong head. The aroma is deeply hopped, and the flavour is incredibly hopped with a long lasting roasted and malty bitter finish. Overall a really good strong IPA.

Bottle. Pours a copper color with a nice white head, some lacing. Aroma of citrus, cloudberries, gooseberries, and some black currants. Flavour is citrus hoppy with notes of currant leaves, gooseberries and cloudberries with a touch of toffee/caramel. Medium to fullbodied with rather soft carbonation. A tasty beer!

Bottle from Stirchley Wines, Birmingham. Murky dark orange pour with a smallish off white head. Nose was tropical fruit and fragrant piney hop. Very sweet flavour, brought into line by some fine hoppage and interesting fruit notes. Didn’t really pick up on the cloudberry aspect though. Some tartness in the finish. overall... tis good ja!!

330mL courtesy of omhper. The pour is a clear, light amber with a giant, yellowish head with big time lace. Aroma is heavy cheesy hops, durian, jackfruit. Taste is heavy full melons, smoke, campfire, meat, lots of odd meaty melons like durian. Palate is rich, meaty, smokey. I’m really loving this DIPA- so original and fun to drink. Probably kicked ass when it was super fresh. The recipe looks like a clear winner. Nice idea!

Cloudy amber beer, good cream coloured head. Light hoppy nose. Light semi dry palate. Creamy malt, some piney hops turning sweeter with a trace of fruit. There is some aniseed running through in the background. Piney hop finish. The cloudberries only seem obvious for a brief moment jusrt after the mid. Centennial and Citra hops. Pretty good. I’m sad that my encounter with Ingrid is a brief one!

Bottle. Hazy orange with a medium head. The aroma was guite different from your normal DIPA, hops of course but also something which was difficult to define. Cloudberries? I’ve been eating lots of cloudberries during my days. Cant say if it was cloudberries in the aroma and taste but it was something different. Ingrid was nicely balanced and not brutally bitter. The aroma was slightly better than the taste.

Bottle from this summer. Orange colour, small head. Fruitiness from cloudberries apparent, but rather well balanced with the hops. Little too sweet, but nice anyway.
