COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottled, seasonal
single hop simcoe IPA
This Christmas, wish for a green Christmas. Where flurries of hop flakes blanket the world like you’ve never seen it before. And crunching through crisp, sparkling drifts releases billows of pineapple, citrus and papaya with every step. The reign of the snow angel is over. Long live the hop angel where parks and playgrounds become adorned with the outlines of celestial beings that fell to Earth from angry looking emerald clouds. Tune in to breakfast TV to find life’s on hold for 24 hours as this ’hop day’ demands you rocket down a hill on the back of a baking tray. Or simply raise a glass of this festive IPA as we wish you a very hoppy Christmas.

Bottle from BD Online shop.Pours clear gold orange, head disappears to patches. Nose of orange, pineapple, sweet tropical, plus some caramel. Tastes medium sweet caramel malt, medium bitter, loads of juicy fruit aromatics, bittersweet orange, pineapple, guava, lychee. Body is medium, texture is oily/creamy, carbonation is softish. This isn’t the most complex IPA, nor the most bitter, but it’s juicy as hell and well put-together.

Medium aroma with peach and some fruits. Light orange/yellow color w. clear liquid and small white head. Strong taste with sweet fuits, peach and lot of hops. Bit simple and not so balanced. Long, hoppy aftertaste with some malts. Medium/narrow taste spectrum. Medium/light palate with medium/strong carbonation. Overall nice, but bit controversal BD.

Pale color. Intense hopping with some fruity notes and a decent bitterness in the finish that develops more in the aftertaste.

From a 330ml bottle on 3/12/2014. Pours a clear deep golden with a tiny head. The nose is rather pleasant with lots of tropical and stone fruit. The flavour starts out with some sweet bready malt, followed by peach, pear and apricot, and finishes with moderate to strong, lingering, sticky hops. Has a fullish body and medium carbonation. A very well made IPA, if not particularly noteworthy.

Merry christmas! The best christmas IPA this year. Bittersweet hoppy IPA with just a hint of pomerance and... Is it almond I taste? Just like Britney, Brew Dog can sing "Oops, I did IT again"...

Beese (2560) - Watford, Hertfordshire, ENGLAND - NOV 30, 2014
Draught at BrewDog Bristol on 22 Nov. Poured a clear amber, with a dense white head. Aroma of citrus, pineapple and kiwi. Marmalade flavours, with some hay and melon. Finish was peal, dry straw and resin. Very nice, but not all that Christmassy...

From a bottle. Pours clear dull amber, huge grassy hop aroma, small lasting head, medium bitterness with a grape fruit tinge. Very nice stuff.
